Title: First known and recorded MMJ show?
Post by: danz on Dec 26, 2009, 01:34 PM
I can't find anything before the My Morning Jacket Live at Bunbury Theatre on December 14, 1999 show.  Do any prior to this exists?

That's the earliest recording I know of.

Cool, guess we'll have to accept that as the first.  KVRX local live 10/15/00 may the best out of the early stuff though.  whatya think?

The 2 meter sessions are hard to beat.  I also have an affinity for 10-27-00, Live lunch.

Dylan, do you find that the Live Lunch recordings have a stagnant "white noise" sound in the recording?

it's was recorded on a cassette from an FM broadcast, that's probably the reason for the "hiss" you're hearing.

I just logged on to post the video from the September 1999 show and saw this thread.

Check out the video on youtube at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZhINEGtMLA

Please discuss these Harvest Showcase videos on the 1999 video thread, as I'll be putting the rest online there.  There's a few differences, but the greatness is there in all the tunes.

Chris, their second drummer, gave me a video tape of something from either 1999 or 2000 with J. Glenn on drums but I don't know the date for certain.  I'll research it a bit more when I have time, as I don't know if it is older than these videos.
