What a night! Such a pleasure to meet Johnnyyac, Ericm, joeyrogo & friends, the crew from MA who will be at Terminal 5, and all of the "lurkers". You know who you are! Awesome to see Liz and lil sis again!
Still can't believe we were close enough to get these shots....the band was in fantastic form, and the sound was divine.
The venue, apart from being ridiculously strict about tailgating, was just beautiful, wide open Vermont goodness. The beer garden was nifty and you gotta love long trail on tap, along with. Bud and bud light......
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals were excellent - even after I saw them the nite before in ny. I must admit though, was hoping for a shorter skirt :)
The night was beautiful. A chill in the air, the moon rising above the stage, and Jim & the boys playing theirr hearts out..

Grace is Hot! I got one of the drumsticks, after a little battle with an obviously rabid fan....so i gave her the stick - felt bad bc i think i scratched her a little bit :) she forgave me quickly

Wow -- the place was practically empty when we pulled into the lot at 5:30pm...Mind you, there is NO, and I mean NO tailgating permitted. One of the parking lot/security nazis walked right up to my car and informed me that we had best roll up the window if we wanted to drink in the car..so here's the scene -- me & johnnyyac, ericm, liz(ynwa) and lil sis crammed into my 4runner...no AC on bc we couldnt put the keys in while open containers were being consumed...wndows closed...
needless to say one beer was enough. my husband doesn't drink, but was sneaking swigs of his o'douls amber and smoking a cigar outside the car, trying desperately to charm the parking lot nazis -- to no avail.
SO -- we were ready to bust in the gates at 6pm - and seriously, i thought it was a joke, like NO one was there....no lines....so we just went right on up to the stage, and couldn't believe our good fortune...it was really a beautiful and spacious venue...and it was lovely to have drinks in the beer garden, while bob saved our spot :)

Amen. Couldn't believe we maintained a blanket on the ground 3 deep from the rail until just before MMJ came on stage. Things tightened up but we were all given plenty of space to rock out. Of course, someone was having some issues with gas, so that might have kept us from getting too close. Damn nasty!
