I'm new to the forum and wanted to say a quick hello! A few of you have already met me. I'm ynwa's little sis! I had the pleasure of attending my first MMJ concert at Merriweather in May. I was given a copy of the Okonokos set before the concert that I listened to here and there. There were a few songs that I really dug but I wasn't necessarily "blown away"—but def curious. Experiencing that concert gave me a completely different opinion. I was in awe. I remember saying to my sister at one point in the night, "I feel like I believe everything that he's saying", or something along those lines. Needless to say, many songs resonated with me that night and I've been hooked ever since. I went to the show up in Vermont this past weekend (that's right...I committed to a 6 hour drive for this!) and it was a completely different experience now that I feel a connection to the music. They were unfuckingbelievable! I had one of the best weekends ever with my sis and some other great peeps from the forum. Now I'm ready for round 3 tonight for the boys opening up for Tom Petty at the IZOD...and then again in NYC for Terminal 5 for Z and possibly Evil Urges! Now I wish I could go to all 5 nights but, alas, work will be pretty crazy then. I just feel lucky that I get be a part of it. :)
I'm posting some pics and videos in tdb's pic thread from VT. Enjoy!
welcome girl!! thank you for the awesome videos, great times, and tearful laughter!
See you tonite!
