Who's going?

I just picked up three tickets for me and a couple friends. They are lower level, as all Gen. Admission tix were gone. SURELY I can find a way for us to sneak down to the floor and get close to the action.

Does anybody have a website or a seat layout for the arena and how much is open of it for this show. We got tickets at 10am on the Thursday of PRESALE for god sakes and we're in the middle of the arena too in section 116. Is that good?

I saw on ebay where some guy has some selling for section 104, though kinda high. I think we have good seats but not sure and I really hope they are. This is the only band i HAVE to see in concert whenever I get the chance.

i think what they are going to sell is unlimited.  after the floor and 1st level sells out, they will move upward.  obviously the arena will not sellout (roughly 22k) but seats will get worse and worse as it goes on.  i would be pretty satisfied with 116, thats where our seats are and its a-okay with me.

hopefully there will be a chink in the armor of security and that chink will be exposed and I will "found" myself on the floor near the stage :)

prob be bracelets for the floor section? hopefully put on loosely ;)

Am I ever an idiot.  Last night, I looked on Expedia to look for vacation packages to Louisville.  It's much cheaper for us to drive from Ottawa to Syracuse and hop on a plane there.  We would save over $500 by driving 3 hours south.  

Anyway, I found a package for $850 that included 2 round-trip tickets on Continental Airlines (via Cleveland) and 3 nights accommodations at the Brown Hotel.  My wife told me that I should book it right away.  But instead of listening to her, I decided to wait thinking the deal would still be there today and hopefully the Canadian dollar would rise in value today.

I checked again today, and the deal is gone.  The cost is now more than a $100 higher.  The Canadian dollar's value has remained stagnant as well.  D'oh.  I should have listened to my wife.

Party of six coming up from Southern Ky including my twelve year old son who's still stunned that no one in his middle school knows MMJ.I'm working a couple of extra overnight shifts so I can take him but loving every minute of it.........just to see his face when MMJ hits the stage........................It'll be like priceless and stuff. :o

I don't really know but it's got a 4 diamond rating and looks pretty nice.

I hear ya.  I've been lucky so far with it.

A few of us were able to get the Hyatt @ Penns Landing for last nights show for $70.00!!

Had a view of the stage from the pre-show party room on the 16th floor, and a few were listening to the soundcheck with a glass held up to the window. ;)

its a marriot so it will be nice.  the bonus is that its only a couple of years old and a short walk to the arena.

What's the hotel like?  I'm still looking for a place.

Right now I'm debating about coming down to Louisville.  I think this will be a killer show being a hometown show and all.  But I'm also wanting to see Band of Horses and I can't swing both.  I've never seen BOH and Brad is opening so that should be a killer show as well.  So as of now, I'm kind of leaning in the direction of BOH, but still torn.

Anyone care to persuade me one way or the other?   :)

unless you're going to T5, i'd go to the hometown show. I predict a 4 hour show where we see Cobra, Strangulation, and a ton of covers. I predict this will be a repeat of the great mmj shows like Roo '08, NYE '08, and the Hometown show '08. Just sayin.... I'm seeing BOH in the beginning of Oct. in Louisville. Im excited or whatever but I can't imagine they put on a more entertaining or energetic show than jacket.

I think we'd all love to see that kind of show, but I dont want to go in with the craziest expectations then leave with those expectations not filled.  4 hours would be a hell of good show but its hard to see especially with an opener.

theres a new bbc (bluegrass brewing company) tap room directly across the street from the arena.  i believe that is where the meet-up is.

Home shows are stellar.. this will be my fifth one. The one two years ago at the Waterfront was insane!! Bonaroo is the only thing I can compare it to! I feel only slighlty disappointed when I travel to one.

I have two floor tixs but looking for some more. I wonder what the chances are them selling more?  Its hard to believe they have actually fill the floor with what was sold.

Good deals on hotels folks! Those are very nice and close by. The closest you can get to the venue is the Galt House if anyone is still looking.
