I'm sure many of you have already seen this or were even at this show at Headliners in '08 but I just discovered it,loved it,and can't help but wonder if we'll be so fortunate as to actually hear it live at the Yum Center show.Hmmm........regardless it's fun pondering and building on the anticipation of what's in store Oct 29th in Louisville.

that's awesome. so cool if they play that for us next month. or if jim joins them for a prince cover.
speaking of next month, i've been checking ticketmaster regularly, and the lower level seems very close to being sold out. anyone know who will decide if they need to open the upper level, and what criteria they use? will they open it for an extra hundred people? and extra thousand? 2 thousand? i know that means extra staffing, but the demand certainly seems to be there.
and louisville folks might be interested in this:
The Highlands will be hopping Saturday with 10 hours of food, fun and live entertainment, all for a good cause.
The 900 block of Baxter Avenue will be the site of a street party from 1 to 11 p.m. during the Highlands Festival. The event, co-founded by Kristen and John Riddick , is a benefit for the Kentucky Court Appointed Special Advocates Association for abused and neglected children.
Enjoy food, children's activities and entertainment by 14 bands on two stages, including Cabin , The Broken Spurs , The Instruction , Radio Radio and This That & The Other .
Festival-goers also have the chance to bid on silent-auction items, including tickets to performances by My Morning Jacket in the KFC Yum Center and comedian Daniel Tosh .

both cabin and broken spurs are well worth seeing. i hope to make it down there, but have another commitment.
Jim's been known to lend his talent to the openers before so we can only hope.Dare we hope for a Prince cover AND "My Old Ky Home"? I've envisioned a mind blowing rendition of "Highly Suspicious" as well. This is all in fun because no matter what we get I've got a feeling we're gonna eat it up like hungry swine. ;D
I was lucky enough to be there. I'm pretty sure it was a Derby Eve Wax Fang show. The Jacket didn't perform that night. I wouldn't expect My Old Ky Home in October.

Kiss by Prince would be such an amazing, fun cover.

I think you're right.I previously ignored the date but the hats made me wonder if it was somehow Derby related.Regardless,it's the coolest rendition of MOKH we'll hear this side of Heaven. ;)
