Title: Post-show tomorrow?
Post by: j_rud on Oct 17, 2010, 10:18 PM
Jazz bar called Fat Cat was recommended to me by a friend and it sounds worth checking out. Live music and "late night jam sessions" till 5 AM, pool, shuffle board, pong, foosball, etc. $3 cover. Its on Christopher between 7th and Hudson in the West Village, not terribly far from T5. Anyone interested?

This in theory sounds exactly like my kinda late night joint.  Physically, I'm not sure I'd wanna take my body out on night one. [smiley=beer.gif]  If that's happenin and I'm feelin' good, I'll for sure follow you down

I figure my best bet for staying out all night is the first night. I also think tomorrow night is going to be fairly subdued compared to say ISM or Z, so I don't think the show itself will be a big drain. Think it sets up pretty well. Im not looking to set up anything concrete, just throwing the place out as a possibility. If the show is a blast and people want to extend the evening so to speak, that sounds like a sick place to do it.

Good find, j_rud! Hopefully I won't be dead on my feet after the show.

All my friend had to say was "live jazz, 5AM, and shuffle board" and I was sold.

lol you guys are wussies, who gives a shit about sleep..we're on vacation. I plan on partying the fuck out every night this week. Going to bed at 6-7 am...wake up around 5 in the evening and get ready for MMJ and do it all over again. I'm going to get completely wasted every night and try to bring back as many girls as possible back to my hotel room for some jaccuzi action.

that jazz club sounds neat, count me in. i would like to go to an open mic night with you guys so i can show you hippies how a real man plays guitar.

Im with hacksaw lol. I think TTF show will be a little more subdued than what we're really used to with Jacket shows. The album checks in at just under an hour and Im not expecting them to do more than an hour of b-sides/covers. I think most nights the show will be over by 11 if not earlier, leaving plenty of time and energy for debauchery.
