There's a new BBC restaurant opening right across the street from the yum center. I say let's do it there. I'll get there fairly early and try to save all the seats I can.

I'm nearly as jazzed to hear about another BBC location in town as I am to attend another Jacket concert this year. [smiley=bath.gif] For the out-of-towners BBC is the local beer establishment and this is obviously a prime location. A few oat sodas ought to prime the pump for some musical merriment.
I'll be interested in trying some local brews!

That sounds like a solid plan to me. I may need to take a half day in order to help hold seats.
Oh, and by hold seats I mean drink beer.
Can anyone going to the show go to the meetup or is it just for yourself and some friends? Im fairly new to Louisville and I am so excited to go the the My Morning Jacket show! I've never met other people that like My Morning Jacket. It might be fun!!!

All are welcome. I'm sure that there will be more details as the show gets closer.

Just the blue one, but the coasters are blue, black, grey and white. Not too fancy but will look great after i insert them in my poker table. ;D
Whatr everyone's plans for Friday? What time are you going to BBC, going to the venue, etc. I wanna base my day around going to class, getting a poster, and getting on the rail...
and i just picked up my costume.
I'm gonna head down after work and hopefully grab a hold of as many seats as possible. I'll be there by 5. With two openers I expect them to start on time and I want to catch both openers.
So with the hometown show, has anyones plans changing. My party is sticking to BBC for food and drink before the show. Plan on going down there around 4 and walkin over around 5
My wife's and my flight arrives at 2:40 PM on Friday. We'll try to meet people at BBC. Where is it exactly? We'll be staying at The Brown Hotel.

its 7-8 blocks away. directly across from the arena. walk out of the brown, take 4th st towards the river, turn right at main. arena is 2 blocks on the left, bbc is 2 blocks on the right.
Thanks RM!
thanks for setting this up amD.. just bought a GA on ticketbastard and booked a room at the hampton inn downtown. can't wait to share a cold one with ya after all the time spent b.s.ing on the boards. we sure missed you in NYC and you popped into our conversations on more than one occasion.
can't believe i'm getting to see MMJ 6.8 times in 12 days after a 5 year dry spell!

4th is pretty populated all the way down. Should be safe. Otherwise you can easily get a cab at the hotel.
Anyone hanging around past five?
Four hours ahaed of time is a lil early for me, I thinking of heading in around 7:30 ish...is that a mistake for GA?
I don't need to be in front but I'd like to be midway back or better.

Don't tell me you're planning on skipping wax fang! That is a can't miss set! I'd like to catch LYO, too and check out the local village so I don't think 5:00 is too early at all to get some food and beers before heading over. I'll probably head over to the arena at 6:30 or 7:00.

I haven't been to the new bbc yet but I could imagine they get a pretty decent crowd after work on a Friday. Plus seems like lots of people get off their office jobs early on Fridays. 5 may be pushin' it if you are planning on saving some tables. I'll be there about 3 to get a peaceful meal and to start the night asap.

Doors open at 6, show starts at 7:30, and the local village inside the arena opens at 3, so there won't be any waiting at the gate. I'm going to try to get there ASAP but I don't get off work till 4.
Again, look for the Reds cap.
there should be some kind of sign, for members here to meet/find each other.
How bout yelling the words "Steam Engine" and that will signify forum members. Call me crazy.

Hi Tater. Maybe we could connect in the lobby at 4:00 at the Brown? Let me know. I'm about to board a flight, but should be at the Brown by 3:00 or so. Hopefully I'll have an internet connection, and we could connect via PMs or something.

I thought the local village is outside under the second street bridge next to the arena. I think I heard that on the Ket special that was aired the other day?
