Well, we haven't seen hide nor hair of Mr. Conaway in several days. And although I am sure he is quite busy with the move if it is not yet completed, might his absence suggest other events are afoot? :D
Have any of you that know John a little bit better heard anything? Anyway, blessings to the Conaway family.
YES! I was thinking about this all day - especially tonight when there was a six week old in my presence.
I think tomorrow's the expected arrival of the new teeny miss.
nope, not just yet...the move DID consume the weekend and I should be working on that right now, but alas I'm at work instead. :(
Y'all, I feel the love. You guys are the best. Don't worry, I'll be posting just as soon as possible on any ACC news (Ameila Claire Conaway)...
Being a dad makes me busier than a one armed paper hanger in a windstorm, so my postings of late are fewer than I want...but just wait 'till the Lawndale Computer Hell gets up and running!
She'll come when she's good and ready. She's just picking her moment. Probably wanted to make sure you're all safely in your new home first.
Thinking about you both, and Susan and Chris of course :D
;D now wouldn't that be cool if she were born on Valentine's Day?
Quote;D now wouldn't that be cool if she were born on Valentine's Day?
I was just thinking that. It's nice to be born on love day - gives a little more depth to the day. :)
(Come on Amelia Claire! Come on out!)
I'm sure whatever day she arrives will be forever awesome and memorable in its own right. Your family is in my prayers. ;)
thanks! 8)

That's true, Boar. Whatever day she decides to come will immediately be Big Love Day.
John. I'm serious, now. I think you should play At Dawn in the hospital while she's being born. (Or did you get a Duhla - how in the hell do you spell it? Doola? Ladies, you know what I'm talking about? dith?) At Dawn being played during her little dawn. Mmmmm. Plus the doctors and nurses would get all lovey from the beautiful sounds, and Susan could feel nice and special.
That's it. All babies from here on out should be born to At Dawn. ;)

Wow, what a lovely world we would have, then. :)

Yeah. :)
I think it's spelt doula but we don't go in for them much in the UK. We have midwives for normal births and obstetricians for when there are problems. People often give birth listening to music though. I think 'tonight I want to celebrate with you' would be cool.
and just think y'all have a built in babysitter in that strapping teenager who recently moved in wit' ya ;)

Yes. Or in a Canadian who might be visiting Louisville in the next few months (to check out a theatre) and would LOVE to spend time with the one who has yet to arrive.
Spending time with babies is very good for my soul. :)
Quotestrapping teenager
Hey, that makes me think of Strapping Young Lad, the craziest metal band I've ever heard! Never knew what it actually means, though...

Meg, you are more than welcome. Please, come on down! :)
John, when I saw you on line just there I thought there must be some news. This little lady's keeping us waiting, isn't she? Her prerogotive, of course ;)
to clarify, we're going to a nice hospital with totally laid back delivery rooms (private ones!) that have curtains and hardwood floors...and yes, we can have "at dawn" playing if we choose. (who WOULDN'T choose that?)
it's all about momma and her needs. something tells me the cocteau twins will also be playing in the background...
:)
can I start calling her "pumpkin" ??
Quotecan I start calling her "pumpkin" ??
I think you should ;)
definitely call her pumpkin. or a cute adorable name. my dad hasn't called me anna in about ten years, he calls me pud, short for puddin'. apparently when i was born, i looked sweet like puddin' and the name stuck. i make fun of it, but secretly i love it and she will, too. :D

covered in choco, head to toe
sticky sticky choco, I want you to know
heh.
My Dad calls me meganinipoppolini. I can't remember how it started, but he still does it. Especially when I go to visit him on the farm. When he wakes me up in the morning after he's made breakfast. He blasts some yodelling country music, comes upstairs and calls "meganninipoppolini, it is time for you to get up!"
We call him poppy, and he calls my brother matteo.
I love pumpkin. And pud is really nice, too. Somebody used to call me pud, and they were from the south, and i LOVED it.
mmmmmmm nice. Nice nice nice.
QUICK! everyone go.....
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! too sweet. 8)

you sweetie. well, there is nothing like a father/daughter relationship so i wish you and amelia all the best in the world.
I'm fairly certain that you will post immediately when you have to leave for the hospital (you'd better!), and you can give play by play details if you have a wireless card... (heh, because you'll have nothing else to do but type about it on the internet while your wife is delivering a BABY!)
Anyhow... she should be arriving sooooooonnnn...
Oh my god, her initials are ACC. That's what we call the Air Canada Centre here in Toronto - it's where the Leafs (used to) play, the Raptors play, and all of the really big concerts are. I saw Neil there.
So she's already got the same initials as a rock haven. She shall rock. Oh yes.
Quoteit's where the Leafs (used to) play
Sorry to go off-topic again, but I've always wondered: why "leafs" instead of "leaves"? Is this just another spelling difference between our countries? ???
And, John, I'm looking forward, too, to your good news. :)

Heh. I think it's because we drink too much beer.
But actually, the truth is that I think it's because the Maple Leaf (singular) is our national symbol, so they made it the Leafs (and imagine there's an apostrophe after the "f"). I think. I don't know. It actually might be because we're stupid. :D
on edit: Well, I would be the stupid one - an apostrophe after the "f" wouldn't actually be correct in the grammatical sense.
See what I mean? :)
I feel the love y'all.
Momma is doing fine but no news just yet. Had a lil false alarm last night, but no Ameila. :)
And yes, y'all will probably know details before just about anyone else (no Meg, I won't be typing away as the baby is coming along...although.... ;)) so stay tuned, true believers.
I'm blushing right now!

Hell JC why don't ya bring a webcam wit' ya so we can all be there :o
i'm certain mrs johnconaway won't go for that. ;)
I'm fairly sure we didn't see much of Mr. Conaway today... (just paying attention...)
Many congratulations to John and Susan on the safe arrival of Amelia Claire. Delighted to hear the good news. Love to big brother too.
Susan
Whooohoo!
