Title: Autoharps
Post by: EC on Mar 17, 2005, 09:39 PM
I just got a very special one tonight.  Anybody know of any good books out there for teaching picking?  The strumming bit is, ah, heh, fairly easy.  Almost automatic.

It's from 1953.  It's really beautiful.

After hearing what you can do with a Zylaphone and no lessons, I think you should just teach yourself.  Seriously EC, when I think back about the tribute CD my favorite part is your rendition of "Tonight I Wanna Celebrate With You".  That is what a tribute song is all about.  Very Cool.

You are completely lovely.  :)

So, I was supposed to go out to two different things tonight, and I really just wanted to stay home.  It's St. Patrick's Day.  I suppose it's kind of lame to want to stay home with your new harp, but I did it anyway.

I can't believe what it sounds like.  It's TOTALLY out of tune, but it sounds like what you think about when you hear someone say "eerie" or "ethereal".  It reverberates like nothing I've ever heard.  It's really beautiful.

I think "in tune" is overated, it's all relative, look at what sonic youth did with their guitars.

Heh, I know.  I thought that, too.  I can't even figure out how completely messed I'd make myself if I played it in, oh, I don't know, a silo or something... ;)

SHIT!  How wicked is that?

Okay, this is off topic, but waaaaaaaay back, you posted a picture of a bunch of guys at some thing.  I remember thinking that I thought I could figure out who you were, and then someone asked which one you were, and I don't think you ever said.  But now that I look at your little sweet pea, I think I was right.  NEAT!
