I think I saw Ambulance Lmt supporting Pete Yorn at Hammersmith (or was it Shepherds Bush? Christ, my memory...) a while back. Wasn't too impressed with them to be honest. But I would be prepared to give them another shot. A few people I know have said positive things about them.
In terms of favourite bands... such a difficult choice:
Bob Dylan
Stone Roses
Oasis
Green Day
Verve
Pete Yorn
Alison Krauss
Flying Burrito Brothers
The Band
The Byrds
The Jam
Neil Young
Rory Gallagher
and countless others. Too many to list.

No other Elvis Presley worshipping, country music-loving hip-hop heads out there?
I'm sure we have some closet Elvis worshipers. Do you have a shrine? I heard that a lot of people do...
LOL! Thanks man, what a great picture! No, I don't have a shrine - not sure that my wife would allow it. Did make it to Graceland this year though...
Everyone's heard Jim's version of Suspicious Minds, right?
I've never been. I'm not really a big Elvis fan, I just think that the hysteria is insanely funny. I got that picture from an actual church's website, the First Baptist Church of Elvis the Divine or something like that. :)

QuoteLet's hear an amen for Kuyss!
Kyuss were my favourite band when I was growing up & that's why I put Blues on my list.
I was lucky enough to see them live 3times in the UK. Josh Homme is an amazing guitarist & Kyuss were incredible live!
If you like Kyuss try to find the Amusing the Amazing EP by Sloburn & Coping With the Urban Coyote by Unida. These were John Garcia's 1st too bands after leaving Kyuss & are very similar.
Unfortunately his new band aren't very good - I forget the name but they're shit!
There are a lot of Kyuss copy cats out there but one release worth checking is Ode to Low by Lowrider. This should help to feed your hunger if you still miss that amazing Kyuss sound!
