I'm a big fan of culinary delights, and cook often as time permits. There are some amazing restaurants in Louisville, and I feel like I've got a pretty well balanced world view of what good food is and isn't.
I'm curious as to what some of your favorite dishes are...here's some of mine:
Greek:
Greek Salad, Spanokopita, baklava
Italian:
Fetticini with white wine sauce and seafood
good ol' fashioned meat sauce and pasta
Vietnamese:
vermacelli with mint, roasted pork, and spring rolls
(F6 for you VK goers... ;))
Mexican:
Chicken or beef burrito with nacho sauce mmmmmmmmmmmmm
my favorite restaurant is Ditto's here in Louisville. my favorite seafood restaurant is probably destroyed on Dauphin Island, Alabama due to the hurricane. :'(
and my favorite meal of all time was served in Montreal, Quebec at a lobster/steak house in the old quarter. I had a lobster tail the size of a football, drawn butter, side salad, wine, bourbon, cheesecake, and creme broulet for $20 Canadian. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
i grilled some super deeee-licious filets last night, cant go wrong with those. also lamb, my favourite meat.
i make some a damn good vegetarian stir fry using seitan. theres also this spinach casserole that has rice, barley, pasta, and vegetarian meat of your choice which is utterly excellent. dont knock it until you tried it. :D
You guys are a regular Chef boy ar dee...most of my foods comes frozen and already cooked...just needs nuking.
My fav food of all time is....are you ready?.....
HOT DOGS!
Yes,I could eat one every day and be happy.
oh, don't get me wrong. I grill me a brat or two every now and again. And I certainly love me some nacho dogs...
I also have a penchant for some fast food. Those damn Chicken Selects from Mickey-D's are pretty good...:)
If you're a fan of hot dogs and you're on the east coast of NC, look for a place called 'bills hot dogs'. Hands down, the best weiner I've ever eaten....wait...i said weiner!!! Here that meg? It's another word for 'cock'! :)

Didn't you get the memo? Today's word is "soul chubby"... ;) ;) ;) ;)
otherwise, very clever....
i´m a big fan of mexican, chinese, greek and german food!
and italian of course! :)
Weiner is another word that makes me laugh. Jen used to say veggie weiner when she was talking about hot dogs, and it was so funny. Just say it: weeeeeeenerrrrrr.
Man, I never realized that phallic words make me laugh. Maybe I need to take a maturity pill. ;)

Um...I believe I already used the 'Office Space' reference (refer to the above link) :) But otherwise, no, i didn't get the memo on that.
i could eat a plate of enchiladas every day and not get sick of them. basically anything tex-mex is my style.
as far as home goes, my mother always fixes the stuff i don't like/eat, so if i'm at home, i'm usually on my own when it comes to eating. i like simple stuff like popcorn (always kettle cooked, never microwaved) and peanut butter and crackers (saltines with crunchy pb)
i'm not a fan of hamburgers, but Mariahs veggie burgers are the great. Baked potatoes are good, salad with tortilla chip things and ranch dressing, french onion soup, if i'm at Olive Garden i get the cheese stuffed ravioli and dip breadsticks in alfredo sauce.
cheese! Man, I love fancy cheese.
also, lamb chops.
and cannolis.
and tomatos right out of somebody's garden.
and mangos.

I agree very strongly to everything there.
Favourite cheese:
chevre with herbs
appenzeller
really really strong, old Canadian cheddar. holy.
green curried anything
spinach
ice cream - there is an organic, homemade ice cream shop in Kensington market that is so fucking good, it's crazy
chocolate - all varieties, but there's this dark kind that's made with real ginger Dolphin (pronounced in the french style)
lamburgers
nachos, and these burritos that you get at La Hacienda
french fries
You know, I love a turkey dinner. mmm.
Pork chops
Bacon growlers
Thai food
and chocolate
(lets hear it for chocolate)

I miss UK chocolate. We have a Cadbury's plant down the street, and it always smells like chocolate at my house, and I always think about how different Cadbury's is in the UK compared to here.
I mean, whatever, don't get me wrong, I will never say no to chocolate, and it isn't like it sucks or anything. It's just seriously not as good. Neither is the ice cream. Your ice cream is better. Come to think of it, so was your yogurt... Perhaps you have happier cows?
I love chocolate. I'm gonna go get some RIGHT. NOW. :)
Oh yeah, there is this chocolate place near where I work and they make hot chocolate there. Like, actual chocolate hot chocolate. They make it like an espresso with ground cocoa beans. And they add ginger and orange and allspice, and kind of christmas-y type spice, and a little big of indian-y spice.
I don't normally like hot chocolate, because I'd usually rather have coffee, but I would choose this over coffee half the time if it wasn't $5 a go.

So true!
Damn. I wish I had some dark chocolate here with me.

I would eat Pizza every day if I could...
Pizza everyday...could I ask for anything more?
fettichini alfredo with grilled shrimp or chicken. as Mitch Hedburg said "fettichini alfredo is macaroni and cheese for adults.
Favorite meal is Meatloaf with mashed potatoes (with the peels), corn and butter noodles with rolls and/or cornbread and brown gravy drizzled over the whole thing. wow, I'm hungry all of a sudden!
Joey's pizza and Budweiser....

Man, that sounds SO good!
I'm always amazed by the food when I go to the US, especially the portions.
I had Soul-Food for the first time this year which was great!
Soul food is the shit. 'wiggum and his wife took me and Jen to the Hollywood Inn in Muscle Shoals Alabama, and it was ridiculous. It was so damn good. I had meat loaf and collard greens and red beans and... oh yeah. Macaroni and cheese.
Smothered Chicken, Fried Okra, Hush-Puppies?! (I think that was what they were called?)
Now I'm REALLY fucking hungry!
I tried some slimey okra. It didn't quite do it for me.
Quoteslimey okra.
Is he that chat show person?
wordawg
it almost sounds like "oprah".... ;)
hmmmm.... slimey okra. That could be a good band name.
I don't know if a chat show person uses that name, greggypsycholerawordawg... But it's a good one if they do.
r.o.c.k.
