Those Toronto posters are asaweeeeetness! :-*
Does anyone have intel on the LA run, ie, a single poster for all 3 nights or three seperate posters? Wonder if I'll need a tube each night or only soundcheck day. (personal rant: how doesn't my phone know the word "soundcheck" by now?!)

We have this image of the LA Wilern show on Sept. 12, so we might have three different posters or the same with different dates (which would suck, a la the Spring 2010 nightmare).

Mad Pixel
Portland is pretty cool, love the flying V, kind of a bummer its not a silkscreen.
Not impressed with mad pixel once again, I thought the LA run would get something special. I like the set idea, but I don't see myself ever hanging those on my wall.
I do like that they branched out this year and gave some other artists work, but I really hope we get some Burwells next tour.
I don't like the overall "cartoony" vibe of many of the prints this year. It's just my personal preference, but I tend to like more "artsy" concert posters
i like the wiltern posters and could see them looking good on a wall together. though im not going to any of the west coast shows i am probably going to get the portland poster because its on my birthday.
seattle poster?
Seattle poster.

Um. Am I crazy or do 2 of those LA posters say 9.12?

I think you´re right vespa.
I usually am not a fan of MadPixel at all (though he is one of the nicest guys ever, and insanely gracious. Please support him if you like his work.) and I certainly don't like cartoony prints AT ALL. But those 3 wiltern posters are sick. I absolutely love them
Any word on the artist for the Seattle poster? Wondering if it can be bought online since I regret not getting one at the venue.
Seattle is Randy Fung

Good catch! Looks like they got it right, the above night 3 is just a jpeg I'd guess. Here's a pic of all 3 stacks.

The posters for 2012 have been top notch. So many outstanding ones.
I can't get over those LA posters. I really wish they were the Cap posters.
I think that after 2012 is over, all my posters will be coming down other than RR2011 to be switched with RR12x2, PC, and Boston (assuming those are good ones). I always take into consideration the event itself, along with the art work, when hanging posters.
wooooooo hooooooooo!!! managed to snag a three headed apatosaurus and stegasaurus...good day
and i love those la posters as well...the first one has an airbrushed feel to it and i love that...not that i wear airbrushed shirts...
is this you Seth?
no...but i have got to get me one!!!
and i am pretty sure the sales at the hangout festival go as follows
1. beer/alcohol purchases
2. air brushed t-shirts either professing their undying love for his/her significant other or a rebel flag...usually both though
I'm glad you got the dinos, Seth. I got the Portland butterfly!
I got the dinos too. Very cool one!
Thanks for the link! The Dinos are sick!

Totally agree it's played out. Reno has beaten it to death.
I was trying to find a positive in a poster set which really does nothing for me. It's there, and it's subtle, that's the best I could do.
Totally agree that the eye is played out, beaten down, tired, and so uninspired.
I like the ones that have a tie in to the area/venue/season or even an event like The Yum show or NYE. Trying to capture the feeling of the music is great too, just tie it in with the groove, not the most obvious symbol associated with it.

Didn't mean any offense with my post. I have several of your posters and love em. Circuital eye and all. I visited with you at Forecastle, enjoyed the chat, and will continue to purchase your work.
I was commenting on others using the eye, as well as you. I dug it on the first leg of the tour, being it was the "Circuital" leg. I was just hoping to see this leg's posters take on a more spontaneous feel to go along with the "spontaneous curation series".
I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty more of your posters in the future.

Clinton, I meant no disrespect. I'm a big fan of your stuff, especially some of your latest. The Avett Bros. series is absolutely brilliant, and I also really like the Monty Python piece.
I was just offering my critique, and personal opinion. Music, posters, whatever the art-form or the medium, passionate people will discuss these things passionately. That's what it's all about right?
I think it's really cool of you to post here as you are a big part of the community.
"Eye" for one look forward to seeing more MMJ Reno posters. Sorry for the bad pun.
gentlemen, no worries whatsoever. I have a much thicker skin than that (and understand even things that are loved are open to critique). I just thought it'd be fun to pop on here and comment on it. ALL in good fun I swear.
I enjoy the shit out of this amazing band and this amazing community. You all have been good to me and I enjoy putting in as much love as I can into these posters because I know they're appreciated.

That is great. Ha! Any chance you may be giving us some posters in the future? Say New York Port Chester or maybe Boston? Love your work, tired out Circuital eye or not, a Reno poster is always a great poster.
Also, I have updated the main poster page through Los Angeles. Still looking for Berkeley.
I asked Burwell if he was doing any of the December shows. He said he he doesn't know but check back in a month. Hopefully he was just protecting a secret
Matt leuning is the artist for the Greek. 260 prints.
Image is of 2 animals. I think they are sloths but they are most likely funny looking bears.

Three-toed sloths. Look at the fingers and the eyes. I really like the colors and the eyeball at the top. That's how to not incorporate the big gross eyeball that we've seen so often, but still get your eyeball in.It looks very psychedelic to me. I'd like to see it in black velvet in the back of my seventies van

If I got shutout though, this is a price I wouldn't be too upset about paying for this one. It's my favorite of the tour.
Don't know if this counts, or if it was ever printed, but its the best promo of the event that I've found.
