Looks like Jim will be playing on Jimmy Fallon next Thursday, November 3rd!
Nice heads up, thx
Any predictions on the song he will be performing?

He played Same Old Lie with the Roots, sounded pretty good but have to admit SOL is probably my least favorite track off of his new record.

He performed Here In Spirit w/ the Roots during the actual show, but this SOL is HOT
Anyone know who plays that killer horn (I'm guessing that's a trumpet) on In The Moment? I feel like it's whoever says "let's do one more" right at the end of the song

I really love the actual musical track to this song, but IDK, something with his sing/rap style really turns me off from the vocal part. This album is really good.
Thanks for the links. It appears Jim has chosen a more practical Jacket from his closet for this album cycle. Everywhere I have seen him recently he has had that coat on. Cool to see him with the Roots, I would say I prefer Here in Spirit over SOL but I dig the album overall.
Yeah SOL is the weak link. But that's good. It was the first song shared and is now the sacrificial lamb so that we wouldnt have gotten used to and maybe bored with a better song by the time the album came out. ;). (see: Big Decisions)
Love HIS, love seeing him play it with a live female singer and the way their vocals danced around each other. Would love to see him go further in that direction in the future, so cool!
Finally got to watch on my DVR. Really liked watching him with the Roots! HIS is such a freaking jam.
I would love to hear True Nature played with The Roots :cheesy:

He mentions this in the Rolling Stone article as well...
I am so curious what movies they got fired off of? And what these songs would have sounded like as a score? And what the movies ended in using?

I feel the same way. SOL is a nice tune but Jim's voice in this style/this song just isn't working for me.
