do folks expect the roll call ticket limit to be 2 or 4 for this?

im so psyched for this.. my first mmj since the beacon run
tried to travel a few times but jsut wasnt in the cards.  cant wait!

just wish they were doing 2 (or more) nights to mix it up a bit, but i dont care, im there.

question

event page says there will be GA floor, club reserved, and reserved floor in the presale, but the seating chart shows an all GA floor.

anyone know the deal?

assuming they will rope off front of floor for us?

very psyched for this (but a tiny bit bummed about "Only NY appearance" - kind of kills Mountain Jam hopes)  BUT I'LL TAKE IT!

Now this is some much needed good news in the world.

It says only NYC area appearance so I would think upstate or at least other Mid-Atlantic shows are in the cards.

Haven't all of our roll call memberships expired as of Dec 16?

Insta post says only New York appearance so that rules out the entire state IMO.

And yea, i'm trying to re-up my roll call, had no clue it expired. I'm shocked I didnt get an email letting me know. Now deluxe is sold out and we all know Digital are bogus, kind of bummed right now.
I think the one saving grace is that this is a pretty big venue and tickets shouldn't be that difficult to get. Getting Shakes tickets last year was pretty easy.

So my Roll Call expired in December and there is no option to renew on the site. Not sure I can go but would be nice to have the option.

they have since changed the wording to offering GA floor, club, and bleachers instead of reserved floor.

guess bleachers in the back of the floor?

Actually, the term they are using now is "Reserved Bowl", which I believe is the normal bleacher seats, so if "reserved" I would hope they would be close to the stage.  "Reserved Club" seems to be the seats at the back of the floor, as they are an actual seated section(s).

Its always been 4, I'm pretty sure.

PS - Did you see those ticket prices?  I hope this isn't a trend...

Is anyone actually still in the fan club - and I don't mean that in a negative way, but I mean, is there even a deluxe fan club for 2017?  I wonder if it's a broader presale tomorrow.  I know the digital membership is available, but AFAIK, there hasn't been a 2017 option.

I've been waiting for a 2017 deluxe package to go on sale since mine expired last month. I'm afraid to buy a 2016 digital as a stop gap only to have the 2017 deluxe go on sale soon after.

I am. My Deluxe RC membership doesn't expire until March. Hopefully by then if not sooner, the 2017 membership will be offered.

For a venue this size with a big GA area,  I don't think Roll Call tickets are critical.   I also have a feeling they will allow Roll Callers access to the presale even if their memberships are expired because there is no Deluxe for sale currently.  That's what they should do.  That in addition to being a bit more organized so that Deluxe memberships are always available for sale.  I would have re-upped last month.

I noted the higher prices also.... guessing because of the cost of the opener and the location.

I think that's some high hopes, I can't imagine WU doing a solid thing like you mentioned.

Yeah, I don't think Roll Call tix are critical for this show either. The only real benefit is they're usually a few bucks cheaper on the fees. Maybe if people are going for seats it could be more important as  I'm sure they'll have some good ones of those available. Good being a relative term as I'm sure the ga is the closest to the stage.

I usually weigh the savings in fees vs the will call only thing. If like most times it's a WC only option, I'll pass on a ga ticket and saving a few bucks over eating that damn thing if something comes up and I can't go. I'd rather pay a few bucks more in fees but have a ticket in hand I can at worst put in the hands of someone so it doesn't go to waste.

Spoke to WU. No insight yet on when 2017 deluxe packages will be available and advised to go with digital for tomorrows presale.
Having purchased digital in the past I'm going to pass.. every show I tried to get was sold out by the time digital presales started. The $15 is pretty much a donation to somebody.

I forgot that Gary Clark Jr. was playing OBH this year also.  If they collaborate there, I don't see how they wouldn't do it again at this show.

Digital RC is practically worthless. I guess it's my fault for not having the foresight to renew my membership 4 months before it expired.

I'm in the same boat you are.  WU is great at one thing..... and that is consistently angering MMJ's biggest fans.  Infuriating.

i'm going AMEX presale, i'm done with WU.
That being said I really hate how they are announcing shows one at a time right now.. If they announce a Boston show, Red Rocks run or headlining something major like Lollapalooza i'm going to be pretty bummed I got tickets for this show. I can't go to everything like I once could.

I'm not a big Gary Clarke Jr fan and this stadium is a pain in the ass to get to.

Really depends if prefer to be close to the stage or centered. IT's really not a big stadium, just picture the length or a typical tennis court + boundaries.

Just an FYI there is a tennis club presale right now and there is a 8 ticket limit for that..

I'll always get the deluxe Roll Call membership now.  The one show I let me membership lapse I had to sit way up stairs at the Beacon Theatre.  Out of my 18 MMJ shows, that was by far my least favorite.

I did the pre-sale, I'm on the floor on 7/15 with little to no stress.  $40 is a small price to pay for that.

I put in for 4 reserved bowl but they weren't great, section 301 (row A though).  I was hoping they would have offered 101, 201, 901, or 1001.  I guess I'll wait for the public sale.

10pm is a bummer ONLY because of the gary clark junior opener, its a pretty big name for an opener so there will be a proper allotment for him to play.  mmj would have to go one before 8 to get more than 2 hours.  and if doors are 6, the GCJr is probably 7-7:45?  This may be a short mmj show.  thats my only complaint.  im more than happy to take the train out, and deal with whatever but really hoping its not a short show

any chance the curfew is later on saturdays?

anybody go to the Alabama Shakes show there last year? I know that was on a Saturday, I happened to by in NYC that night and was considering going.
That show had Drive by Truckers opening so similar format in terms of opening to main act popularity.
Wondering if it ended at 10.

I sure hope so. However, I hope they send us our 2016 7" that was supposed to ship out.

Just kind of insane of them to ask us to buy a 2016 digital only and then re-up for a possible 2017 deluxe.

oh lord - it will be fine!  Artpark 2015 started early and ended at 10 and it was actually awesome to have time to go out afterward.  Jacket show will be a somewhat standard 2:15 and change with a likely sit in from Gary.

can't fathom why there would be complaints

Got a GA ticket. Not happy about the price or the venue but I need some live Jacket.

Should be a good show, even though the venue's not amazing and they cut off early.

what time is the curfew?
10pm!

is that a joke? If that is true I am going to reconsider going.

Gary Clark Jr will take the stage at 6.  Can't MMJ go on at 7 and play for 3 solid hours?

doors are 6 theres no way GC Jr goes on at doors. 6:30 the earliest and probably closer to 7..

website says doors at 5 show at 6

I'm just happy to have a show 45 minutes from where I live.  After RR last year and Mexico in 11 days, my wallet needs a bit of a break when it comes to MMJ.

really hoping lack of clarity for 2017 means the band is dumping WU

I sure hope so. However, I hope they send us our 2016 7" that was supposed to ship out.

Just kind of insane of them to ask us to buy a 2016 digital only and then re-up for a possible 2017 deluxe.

Agreed that is too much to ask (to pay for digital and then deluxe later on).  I'll re-up for the 2017 deluxe when offered and go with regular on sales.   And dumping WU would be more than fine with probably everyone on this forum.  I spoke with Patrick after a Spanish Gold show a few years ago, and he said he wanted the fan club to be run more in house like the way Pearl Jam does it.

I got tickets in the Lower Bowl reserve which has floor access and is on risers next to the soundboard.  I went for the Replacements and Deer Tick two years ago and those seats seemed to be the best.  First rows in 201/301/901/801 will also be great.

I was looking at the ticket options and didn't see a "Reserve" section.  Are you referring to the "Club" section of the bowl?  If so, can you really access the GA floor with those seats as well?  That's awesome, and seems like an easy decision.

Thanks!

Just got three with the promoter code, Club 201 Row E seats 1-3.

Never been to FHS but hoping these are good seats. Can anyone confirm these seats do have floor access as another poster mentioned?

Hey All,

I have to say I was really annoyed with this Roll Call debacle. I have been a premium member since the beginning and did not notice my expiration given it the current quiet time for MMJ. My membership expired last month, but according to WU, they stopped selling the membership in September???  Thankfully AXS had some premium tix available on Wednesday at a slight price increase.....$197 for 2 tix, sec 201 row A. For that I am happy.

Anyway, I am clearly bitching. Leaving for Mexico next Friday, so all is will be right in the world.

I'm selling my 3 good seats in Club 2, Row E, aisle seats(1-3). My brother ended up scoring GA, so I'm just looking to get my money back on these. $89 each, that's face value after all the fees.

this seriously promises to be one of the most unique Jacket shows in a long time, given the venue. I think it'll be another 3 hour barnburner, goddamn do I wish I had a decent job so I could do all this ......Damn!

I agree about the venue part but FH has an early curfew. With an opening act getting a set, and even with an early start, there's little chance of a 3hour Jacket set IMO. I'd be happy with 2.5 hours.

When I saw the Vermont show announced for this tour I immediately flashed back to our first meetup for the Essex Junction show in 2010. Holy shit, it doesn't seem that long ago!   So many good memories from that night!

I thought about going for that reason alone but saw it was mid week and am going to have to hold off on it for now but I'll be seeing you and Bob in Forrest Hills, if not sooner.

Any chance you guys might do MPP the night before?

Hey!  So far, we don't have plans for MPP, but that venue holds such a special spot in our hearts, you never know!  That Essex Jct show still goes down as one of my very favorite shows.  That stage, with the moon rising, in that gorgeous VT air, was just sublime! The parking lot situation,on the other hand, not so much, lol.
We will definitely be in touch before the show, and figure out logistics etc.

Take good care!!!

NYC hotels will get you, crazy$.

My brother,brother-in-law and I got a real good deal on airBnB in Williamsburg,Brooklyn for the weekend. 130 bucks each for 2 nights. While not exactly close to the stadium very easy to get to Queens and Manhattan through public transport. Good luck on your search, cheers!

There's a pretty strict curfew of 10:00pm, although I heard it was pushed back to 11:00 for a Paul Simon show that was delayed by rain.

If I'm not mistaken tix say 6:00 with doors at 5:00. I'd expect with good weather for them to stick to the 10:00 pm and GC Jr. to start pretty close to 6:00. Purely a guess on my part but I'm thinking he plays to around 7:00, MMJ from around 7:30-10:00. Maybe GC plays a little less and MMJ starts a little earlier but I think we'll probably see close to those set times.

There is no parking at the venue.  If you absolutely have to drive, You can probably circle around and find a spot on the street eventually or find a parking garage near by, which will probably be expensive.

Best bet is the F or R train to 71st street or LIRR to Forest Hills.

I had the same question. When you get to the venue they swipe the credit card you used to purchase the tickets and I believe some sort of receipt or print out is generated. There are no hard copy tickets. You can however change the credit card on your flash account if you're not using the same card as the one used to purchase the tickets (i.e. tickets were transferred). I believe there are some FAQs on the flash site that will help you.

Same here, Eric. Which train do you plan on taking?

Laura used to live >1 mile from the stadium but moved a year ago. Crappy timing, huh? Parking sucks in that area, especially on weekends. I would not recommend driving.

There are some good options for grabbing a bite & drinks pre-show. The Station House -- aptly named for being right at the Forest Hills Station -- is good but relatively small & gets super busy, so you'd want to get there early to find a seat. There are some other options very close by that may be easier.

Hey Liz! I'm not sure what train I'll be taking. I'll be driving up from MPP in the morning, checking into my hotel by the Meadowlands, then taking a NJT train from Secaucus Jct into Penn Station. Too many variables to pinpoint what train I'll make to Forrest Hills.

I'm thinking of hitting a pub ot two in NYC if I get into the city early enough, and then try to time a LIRR. If I miss that, I'll just jump on a subway out but definitely not driving into the city or out to FH. Pretty sure I still have your # in my contacts so I'll try and shoot you a text when I have an idea what my timing looks like. Maybe we can meet up pre show at one of those places by the Stadium. It'll be good to see you and hopefully Laura too.

Hey Eric! That sounds good. There's only 1 train to Secaucus per hr from my home town -- & total trip time is 2 hrs -- so I'm pretty limited/locked in. My route has me transferring @ Secaucus Jct to get to Penn so maybe, just maybe, our times will mesh. If not, pre show drinks it is!

Sadly, Laura will not be coming. She has a family obligation w/ her in-laws. And is super bummed to be missing this (& annoyed that MMJ is playing in her former 'hood less than a yr after she moved, lol).

Have a great time @ MPP & please give my best to everyone!  Very sad to be missing it this time.

Amazing show.  They were really great the three times I saw them this week.  The people seeing them for the third, fourth, fifth time this tour are getting a lot of repeats.  Not technically a complaint because they're all great songs we're hearing multiple times, but a few more deep cuts for the hard core travellers would be really sweet.

Enjoyed the show on the radio. Every moment was great.

That being said I am BLOWN AWAY by the lack of deep cuts and the consistency of setlists. This is the main thing I comment on here so I'm not gonna repeat previous remarks but I was witholding comment until after this show. This was all of the fuss about this being the ONE NY show they would do something extraordinary. Disappointed in this tour.

i think dontgetupset was obviously saying it's not the performances, it's just the lack of deep cuts and a hell of a lot of repeats, every show had Victory, Circuital, Wordless Touch Me II, OBH and maybe one or two more, that's a bit much

Its unfortunate too, because you know they have the ability to really mix it up. Oh well, they play their asses off and it is a great show. But it's a valid argument. This is just a tour I probably would not have gone to multiple shows if given the opportunity.

Thats basically it. A) This tour has not been ideal for the fan going to multiple shows with the goal of fishing for a bust out or for a Gary Clark Jr sit in or the unleashing of new covers and B) for whatever reason I felt that this Forest Hills show had a certain amount of hype that the other shows didn't have. Let's face it: Many thought that Merriweather+Forest Hills had the best chance of being this summer's Red Rocks and they fell far short of that (based purely on setlists not the total amount of strain on vocal cords and sweat dripped).

I went to Cincinnati and Nashville and feel we got a few that haven't been played every night: The Bear, War Begun, Carried Away and Just One Thing. Plus we got Steam Engine which is not making the list every night. I did get a lot of repeats between those shows, but they killed it both nights. It's less significant what they're playing right now compared to how they're playing right now!! And I most definitely have no regrets at all about seeing more than one show!!

If my calculations are correct- the Forest Hills Show was the first Gideon of the Summer Tour. That's the closest thing to a " breakout" we got in NYC, and I know historically this has not been a very deep cut.

That being said, I was there- and it was probably the best MMJ show I have seen.
Title: Re: Forest Hills Stadium - July 15

I think you have to look at these shows individually not as 2-3 night runs because there not. Sure a lot of fans travel to these weekends but more fans are from the local area and only going to that one show.  Go take a look at the set lists of the three biggest tours going right now, Tom Petty, Roger Waters, and U2. Same songs every night, MMJ mixes it the fuck up compared to these. Yes U2 is doing the entire Joshua Tree so they might get a pass but still the rest of their set is pretty much the same. I would have loved to see any one of these shows the past three weekends but I'm on the wrong side of the country. The set lists may seem a little blah to some but you know they will bring it no matter what they're playing.

Echoing what was said in the post above me, those of us who look at the setlists from the perspective of a person who attends multiple shows per tour are a very small minority among the set of people who go to MMJ shows. Most of the people in the seats are locals and are probably going to go home bummed if the band doesn't play certain songs that those of us in this thread might get tired of seeing get played every night. MMJ are not Phish or Widespread or the Dead. They don't have a huge cadre of fans traveling with them to every show like those bands do.

Also both shows I've seen this tour were better than evet, so there's that too.

Nobody doubts the awesomeness of the band and their higher rate of mixing it up than many bigger richer more "successful" bands. Without crunching the numbers there seems to have been  waaaay more repeats over these last 10 shows than there have been on any previous tour.

There's a few other kinda odd elements to this tour the strangest to me being 3 Ohio dates out of 12 total. The other thing is that they really haven't toured much since Lockn (10 non festival/OBH appearances between the Beacon run in 2015 and the start of this tour a yeah and a half later) so I would THINK that even if there aren't so many fans going to multiple shows and they want to include the "hits" for the locals that are coming one time and one time only that they would give the crowd a little more indulgence.

I'll give you a great example of what I'm talking about. I'll ignore the Orpheum/Beacon/Red Rocks/Masonic runs andf just focus on two random back to back nights in 2 "random" cities (awesome cities but just 2 stops on the tour)...

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/my-morning-jacket/2015/cal-coast-credit-union-open-air-theatre-san-diego-ca-3bf440ec.html

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/my-morning-jacket/2015/comerica-theatre-phoenix-az-33f5b819.html

The first night has 12 songs that were not played the following night and the second night had 13 that didn't appear the first night. Amongst those 2 nights they got ridiculous stuff (not gonna enumerate it because its so glaringly obvious when looking at the sets). I didn't need Merriweather or Queens to be THE shows that had a rollin back/gideon/O/Hopefully etc... but I've gotten to the point where I reasonably expect at least two nights on one tour to be something like this.

Yup, we're all spoiled. This band should be selling out stadiums and has so much good stuff that many of us have experienced in the most mind-blowing settings/contexts which has resulted in the bar being high. Nevertheless, I think something's off...
Title: Re: Forest Hills Stadium - July 15
Post by: cshum372 on Jul 16, 2017, 04:40 PM

They have played a total of 51 songs during the Summer Tour.. that's barely enough to have played two consecuitive nights with repeats.. so there is a fair criticism of not mixing it up as much as we have come to expect..

The reason I am not worried is because the shows are a very high calibur. Maybe they didn't get a lot of practice in for this relatively small Summer Tour?

I like that if you view it with the band/venue so you can read it, the straps on the side of the machine seem to be hanging up and out of frame so it's like it was hanging from a hook or from someone's (Jim's) neck (like photo below). Neat idea.

Also liked the little touch of the Victory Dance lyrics being on the buttons. Not sure I'll be hanging it up but not because of the design but because a lack of wallspace and frames lol

I don't have any problem with the effects box hanging like it is around Jim's neck. My problem is why put all the phrases, words, and initials on the buttons if you have to hold it upside down to read it? If the buttons were blank and it was just a generic looking effects box, I wouldn't have given it a second thought.

If it were to be hung up, we'd have to have the band venue and date facing up, which to me negates the whole point of whatever is being  said on the buttons, since you can't really read it upside down.

I don't know, maybe it's just me but it just seems kind of a head scratcher.

I'm Amazed, played way too much.

Circuital is an epic construction of brilliance, but when played so flippantly it's affect is lost, especially on the peeps seeing these guys almost every show. I could see it getting old.

Victory Dance is a powerful song and I'm glad they played it both times I saw them, but......it should be saved to be a powerful opener or encore once every three shows or something

Wordless Chorus is something that should turn itself into a rarity, because it's been done for so long, nonstop and it's getting old. The song still puts chills down my spine...not gonna lie...but....yeah

Off The Record....man if that middle psychedelic jam isn't changing any, the song HAS to go for at least a year or so, I'm sick of it. I only skip ahead to the jams in the middle and end because the verses and chorus i'm so sick of believe it or not, as much as I LOVE This song.

Touch Me II should be taken out for a whole tour , they've played it full on with reckless abandon since 2008. It's a great song, a showstopper, like it was at my first show, but it becomes mailed in after a while. The second time I saw the band they played this again and it felt like "oh yeah...here comes this" like it was just a mail in song...it was sad because this song gives me such insane vibes, ever since the June 2008 day I first heard it. It should be saved as a two-fer with Smokin to finish a main set, other than that, get rid of it FOR NOW.

And OBH.........this is the band's Freebird, now. OBH is a classic, a masterpiece, no one can deny. But is it any Jacket fan's FAVORITE song???? I don't think so. And, as we know, the band can end shows with heart-stopping versions of Phone or Steam or even Gideon, Dancefloors or Mahgeeta.

The band CAN mix it up...something's just telling me they don't want to or something.

I mean playing A New Life and State of the Art is TOO MUCH when you're only playing 22 songs at Forest Hills fucking stadium....A New Life was also poorly positioned as the 3rd song in the setlist, really zapped the energy and momentum. But that's just me, as I've never liked A New Life whatsoever, I hate the song to be honest.

State of the Art is a fixture I'm proud of and think should be used sparingly, as it seemed to be before this, but now it's every show.

Don't know who the artist is but mine is stamped on the back with a "printed at Grand Palace Chatanooga" and it's not numbered either. No idea how many were sold.

The artist is Clinton Reno...none were signed or #'d for whatever reason.

Never would've guessed it was a Reno.

Was the set standard? Sure, but it was flawless. Jims singing might have been the best I've heard from him in the 15 or so shows I've seen them play.

Enjoy this band while you can, if you're getting bored with them take a break. To criticize that show last night is absurd.

The one I got at this year's Cincinnati show was by Clinton Reno too, and It only had an upper-case R sort of in a square at the bottom right and no numbers either. The R was part of the design and not signed.

Good eye Mr. White. Just checked the poster from FH and it has the same upper-case R in the same spot. Didn't even notice it before you mentioned it.

Not sure why Reno's not doing the number and signed thing. I did hear/read that he had been seriously ill (and might still be), and that's just something he's not doing these days. I just don't know. I do know he's sometimes here on the most fabulous of all Forums, from time to time. He even responded to a PM I sent him about his Bears Coming out of the Subway show poster from the Beacon run of shows I had a ticket to but had to miss out on. He's real cool to have done that.

My opinion is stop having expectations about shows (IMO, it comes off as selfish and unreasonable) and simply enjoy the greatest band on earth. Who knows how much longer we'll have these amazing shows.

Yeah, I wish mine looked like that. Unfortunately mine doesn't have the deep colors or crispness of that one. That might be the variant as they had several different batches being sold. The first was a deep red backround with white border, and the one I got is pink with an off white border. Not nearly as clean and crisp as the red one or the one in that pic.

Oh no, I totally get it. Like I said, I think it's neat but an odd choice. I likely won't be hanging it up either and I've definitely had a handful of posters where weird choices like that intrigue me but make it less likely to hang up. I've got a great looking Tool poster from this year but the way the lights in my place reflect off it make it look weird and hard to make out.

Also have this Jack White poster that I framed because it was a hassle to track down (eventually got on the artist's private auction list somehow because I kept e-mailing and bugging them about a release lol) but the placement of the "E" definitely rubs me a weird way.

Overall I like the idea and design of this poster but it isn't my favorite. Not sure if I have one of those glow in the dark ones that was just posted.....cool effect.

Damn man, I wish I would've know you were going to the show. I should've figured you'd be there, and it would've been good to catch up or have a drink. My bad for not getting in touch. Next time around for sure.

That Jack White poster is definitely one that would have me scratching my head a bit too. The E is placed really weird but the Empire State Building being upside down is really strange and kind of looks like a big, old school metal  hiperdermic needle to me. Way before your time but I remember those scary suckers.

the playing, the vibe, the weather! all on point..

how did people get out of there? i actually used pt2/obh to get out of there and grab an uber, but im wondering the deal if you wait til the end- train/subway easy enough coming out to get into manhattan?

We took the LIRR out of NY Penn. Real easy trip out, 1st stop, maybe 20 minutes if that. For future reference though, make sure you're in the 1st 4 cars going there because the FH platform isn't that long and those are the only cars you can get off of at FH. The rest of the train the doors don't open at FH.

Coming back we did the same thing. We stayed for the whole show, hung around inside a little bit after, then walked to the train. Took our tickets on the sidewalk and then we just walked up to the train. I don't know if there was another train before ours and  while the line was a bit long, it wasn't a crazy long wait to get up to the platform.

Definitely would go there again, and most likely the same way.

Oh, the ol' debate between the "its all good this band can do no wrong" people and the "no repeats because they can do it" crowd.  I see and agree that we should cherish every show because it ain't gonna last forever.  I also agree that when the band is playing killer it matters far less to me what they play. I also would like to see setlist variety on a more regular basis, but I usually don't expect that too much unless they are doing a multi-night run in one venue.

IMO, there is nothing wrong with wanting your fave band to be as awesome as they can and do what they are clearly capable of and have done many many times (albeit in the multi-night runs in theaters like the Cap, Wiltern, etc).  Those clamoring for setlist variety, I hear ya and I say feel free to speak your mind.

Show just got added to Relisten app.

As for the setlist talk. It is so completely different when you read the setlist, and when you are there. Sure, I would be lying if I didn't go in thinking, I hope they play this or play that. But once they plug in, I honestly don't care what songs they play. I am in a complete trance and taken to an unworldly place. I have seen them over 20 something times, and I can say I have never left bummed that they didn't play something. Of course there are songs I would LOVE to hear, and songs I am eh about, but in the moment it truly doesn't matter. We have come to know that the only times they are not gonna play repeats, are the multiple night runs.

I may be alone, but to me, I am just happy to witness this great band play live in front of me, no matter what songs they play.
The only song I hate when they play, is OBH.... cause then in my head... I know the night is over.

Ditto to this. I too have never walked away less than amazed. I actually like still having a few songs out there I've never seen live. (The thrill of the hunt)

As for OBH, I say the same thing, when it comes on it's a bit sad because you know it's about over. The Shelburne set was really cool because they ended the main set with it and the encore was anybody's guess what the last song would be.

First off, the show was incredible and we are spoiled as a fan base.  But just to echo what a few were saying, yeah with it billed as "only NYC appearance" I was hoping for a few deeper cuts, or a different cover. After seeing them in VT Wed, I didn't expect so many repeats. Even when they play single nights somewhere they seem to mix it up more stop to stop, like someone laid out above.

Still, enjoyed the show, venue was cool. Tough drive from mid NJ. Parking was too bad, $20 about a ten minute walk, and leaving we didn't hit traffic.

And yes JJ said 3 words all night "Thank you, Goodnight!" I like it. Letting the music speak for itself

thank you Shug! I have respect for both sides, I'm the guy who loves those Come Closers and How Do You How Could You Knows Chills etc and I gotta have em sometimes, and it's sad when they don't bust even one rarity out. Just One Thing and Picture of You were the only ones this entire tour, Xmas Curtain was played once as well. Other than that, it's been a referendum on the same messages and same songs.

I think this band can do no wrong, and I absolutely DO NOT or WILL NOT EVER take them for granted. It's just a plea to the guys to break those out and sometimes lately I'm left wondering why they dont...they just don't like those songs? they're not feeling them? I don't understand that considering they have so many gorgeous and perfect songs. But I get that, they're humans too, not jukeboxes.

It goes both ways, but let's just hope somewhere down the middle we can all agree that those songs need to be played more lately.

But we can always agree this band is the greatest fucking band of all fucking time

ALSO....stage crasher?!?!? who's got footage of this?? I swear this never happens to them.

Exactly Lonndown. I too would love to hear exactly those 3 or 4 songs you just mentioned: Come Closer, Chills, and How Do You Know and/How Could I Know

Oh and throw in:

Sooner
If All Else Fails
Throwback
Thin Line
El La Ceremony
Grab a Body with that outtro from IWSYS
Hell
Strangulation
and maybe see what they can do with Magic Bullet live!

and I'm good, the ultimate show for me! Of course that's a lot to aks (that's right...aks) and I would never expect to see/hear more than two of those, but one can dream.

I don't know, I feel like this tour, being so damn short, was viewed by the boys in the band as sort of a quick workout, a summer fling, if you will--then back to making more new music (as mmj and their various side projects, hopefully just jacket though with new album out early next year). Just my 2 cents as a long time fan and lurker of this fine forum.

Tom K. on the Facebook Fan Club posted his own video of "Wordless Chorus" that catches the stage crasher pretty well. It starts around the 24 second mark. You can even see Carl in the shadows pointing toward the action before you see him come on stage. You can hear the fans on the rail reacting too. I saved this video from Tom's Facebook page and uploaded it to YouTube as an "Unlisted" video to share with you all.

I forgot to mention that 5 songs don't have live action videos to go with them. The 5 songs are included, but they have still photos from the show that I found in the Interweb. The 5 songs without live video are: "Lay Low", "Tropics", "Compound Fracture" "Evil Urges", and "Run Thru  (end of)". The sound is still killer though!

Here's an updated version of this whole show. Eric Nelson noticed some of his videos were included in the collection and decided to share one more with me. He sent me "Compound Fracture" which leaves only 4 other songs without live footage (photo slideshow instead). Hope you all enjoy and share with others. Thanks for all the complements too!

fuck yes!!!! this thing will probably get one or two more videos in the next month or so, but even if this is the complete version, it's already 5 stars outta 5 and perfect in my opinion. I love the atmosphere and the fan shots and the crowd footage, it's edited beautifully Mr. White. You did a goddamn beautiful job. It's the only thing making me smile right now on this really fucked up day today. Thank you my good sir!

Hey Lonndown27, I've been working on another show with the radio broadcast thing the past couple of days (Chicago Theatre - June 11, 2015 - WXRT FM). There are only 19 songs from the original 22 performed that night that actually made it onto the broadcast/tape of the show. Only 10 of those 19 FM quality songs exist on YouTube (I've already synced up and saved all 10 live videos). Should I go ahead and work this up as half a concert or try to build slideshows of pictures for the other 9 songs? Let me know what you think. I'm sort of leaning toward building just the 10 song thing but maybe adding in a couple of the rare songs that land either before or after the songs I've got video to. We'll see.

woah shit I didn't see this! sorry Mr. White I Say GO FOR IT!!!! the more collected Jacket footage we have the more we can spread hahah and by the way, YOUR NEW VIDEO WAS THE FIRST THING that popped up on my Youtube dood! DarkStarFlashes Baby!!!!!!! It looks GORGEOUS!!!! You have footage of my favorite Lay Low EVER!!!

Mr. White you've done it again!

PLUS....Did you know YOU are famous now?? Of course shit I didn't see that you already posted that

I salute you Mr. White,      don't you love how they call you an "INTREPID" fan?? I think that's the coolest thing ever. Mr. White aka Mr. Intrepid you're a saint, the Chicago show is one of my favorites, sad they cut out Where To Begin and a few others though, like you said 19 were aired of 22. I think what you've done already is absolutely a gas!!!!! It's up to you if you wanna expand it, I'm however perfectly fine with what you've created, it's beautiful and stunning frankly. The footage is so crisp put together and the editing is really badass.

I was geeking the fuck out on the Facebook Fan Club page the day FOREST THRILLZ (the name I've given your multi-cam FM video ) dropped, I really appreciate all the hard work and know how hard and time consuming putting those together can be. You and Pat Myers are keeping the flame going! The more people can see the Jacket in these settings, the more fans they'll have, simply. I've shared that FOREST THRILLZ video with a bunch of new fans and their minds have been blown, Mr. White....that's a huge deal to me man...your work is directly responsible for bringing in new fans and not to mention catching Jambase's eye too!!! And they know what they're talking about when it comes to cool goings-on in music.

THANK YOU MR. WHITE AND ALL THE FILMERS!! I'm actually humbled you asked for my opinion on the Chicago show Mr. White, thank you dood, I really do respect what you guys do. Thank U for getting a Jacket Obsessive EVEN MORE obsessed

Nice job Mr. White!  I'm re-living the show right now with your video.  It reminds me of the Beastie Boys dvd "Awesome I Shot That" when they gave out a bunch of camcorders to fans at MSG and compiled all the footage together.
