I renewed my Roll Call in July 2016, but I haven't received the live show download code or the holiday 7". UnWonderful Union's response:
"We have not received the End of the year bonus items to begin fulfilling orders. Upon receipt of the merchandise your order will be shipped...
If the code is available it will be included with your end of the year vinyl."
What do they mean "If"? This is the 4th or 5th order -- I've lost count -- that WU has screwed up and I've had to contact them about. Now they're passing the blame onto MMJ. Is there anybody else I can speak to in the organization? It never used to be like this.
Download codes usually come via email. I received mine, but I already had all the shows available and no new shows were added in 2016, except a Carl solo show.
I believe all download codes expired on 12/31/16.
Very few people are happy with WU's management of the Roll Call fan club. The band hears about it regularly from fans, management does read the Forum from time to time, or they have in the past.
I feel your pain.
Well *I* know that download codes come by email at the time of purchase because I've been a member for years now, but UnWonderful Union begs to differ. This shit show is really coming to head. I've only been in a handful of paid fan clubs over the years, but they have always erred on the side of the fans. This is an embarrassment and WU accepts no responsibility.
Maybe the band has suspended their relationship (hopefully) with blunderful and have another source.
Starting to wonder at this point if this is the reason we have not heard about 2017 RC renewal.

When I saw that download codes were disappearing from people's accounts, I copied mine before my membership expired. I tried it just now, and it still works. I don't know how much longer it will work, but it didn't expire on 12/31/16.
Good to know, but WU never sent me one with my 2016 renewal. Instead they claim it may come with my 7". Which at this point is either wrong or a lie.
One of my codes disappeared from my Dashboard recently. I opened a "Chat" with WU and they provided another code for me.

It's now the evening of April 5th, and I still keep coming home and checking the mailbox each and every day thinking maybe today will be the day my MMJ record comes. Am I being stupid, or what ...? End of the year bonus item shouldn't be middle of the following year bonus item. This is kind of unreal.

Maybe when they said end of the year bonus, they meant end of 2017....
I too am awaiting the vinyl and my membership expires in May. As I recall, I bought purchased longer than a one year membership at the time - so it's been well over a year I'm waiting on this vinyl now. Not good business practice imo.
Something else, it says the only option now is a digital membership for $15. Forgive me if this has already been addressed because I don't frequent this forum too often but is this the only offering for renewal? Because it doesn't seem to guarantee or get you much....

As of now it is the only option. You can use your 2016 laminate for early entry if you are going to a show where early entry is available.
If the digital does not come with a laminate, why do you need to buy it for early entry? In the past, the gate staff aren't really looking at your current membership status. I chatted with WU, and they were prompt. She pretty much said that they don't produce the vinyl, just mail it out when it is received, which I can't argue with. You don't need to buy it for early entry because as you said,you don't get the early entry laminate with the Digital RC. The above posts were referring to the 2016 laminate being used for early entry and buying the current Digital for presales as its the only option available.
I have to disagree with you on the gate staff checking for current laminates as they most certainly do check. In fact they post what laminates are accepted on the EE page each tour and they've said they will accept the 2016 one this summer.
While they're pretty leanient as far as showing a print out or current status on your phone in case you don't have the laminate, they do want to see proof of a current Deluxe membership.

"The band made a decision not to offer a deluxe membership this year but if you renew with a digital, your 2016 laminate will be honored for early entry at any shows you attend." I realize that you'll have to have your 2016 laminate. Tiger, right? We used to get a card, but they stopped that. Still think MMJ needs to step up with that 7". It is their club. Getting ridiculous that it was due in December and it is May. A split 7" from ANY show ( Terminal 5?) or demo will work. Just give us something.
I just got a UPS notice that I have a package coming from WU. No details yet, but I haven't ordered anything recently. May be the vinyl.

Well, believe it or not, I saw something on MMJ's Facebook Fan Club page where someone re-posted something Bo Koster had posted in response to a fan asking about the 7 inch single for the Roll Call Fan Club.

FWIW my order status has finally switched to "processing".
Just talked to wonderful union. Vinyls arrived to them yesterday and they will be shipping out next week and the week after.

Yea, got my tracking number as well. Not defending Wonderful Union, but not sure how this is their fault. They can't ship vinyl that they did not have. Pressing plants are behind schedule everywhere. At least we're finally getting it. Actually, when I chatted with WU, they responded quickly. Did not give me the answer I wanted to hear, but they hadn't received the shipment yet.

As a longtime Roll Call member, I have had more issues with Wonderful Union orders than any other online retail company. And I've sold 15000+ on ebay and Amazon over the last 20 years, while also making hundreds of purchases of my own from countless online companies. So at this point with WU it's like the boy who cried wolf. Maybe there was a vinyl pressing delay, though the delays you commonly hear about are for LPs, not 7"s. At any rate, the 7" was due in Dec. 2016 as it always is, so one would reasonably expect the planning to occur many months in advance. Then came the March 2017 email stating that they were shipping that same month. Then another 3 months of silence, and now they're quietly shipping. Is it that hard to communicate with your paying members and customers? Apparently it is for WU. I think band member Bo summed it up best:

The one with "hopefully" is the super rare one. WU only gave it to a select few people who were doubled up on membership or something along those lines. I have never seen it for sale on discogs. It's the only piece of MMJ vinyl I don't have :(
My guess is 50-100 pressing of the 7 inch with Hopefully on it. Not sure though.
