I just got a pit ticket through the Ticketmaster app using an American Express preferred seating presale
Option. They were like $62 each after all.
Did you need a code or just Amex?
I could do preferred but not the pit.

You do need a code but it's on the back of your Amex. I only looked for pit tickets. So I'm not sure if there are any preferred sections that are actual seats.

I guess I'm gonna hold out for a pit ticket at the stroke of 10 tomorrow, there's not much left with the presale now. Had the code earlier today but wasn't able to buy a ticket until just now.
I got good seats (101, B) but missed out on the pit during presale. May try again at 10 2mrw.
Are there actual seats in the pit , as venue seating chart seems to show, or not ?

I have been there once and there were seats in the pit for that show. I think they can come out though for GA standing, depending on the show.

Whoop, new to the forum here, and just got GA tickets to the pit in Cincy. Heading from Wisco down for the show, doubled up a work trip. Any recommendations for bars beforehand?
10:30 and I just pulled 2 pit tickets for Cinci also.

I might be getting my shows mixed up that I have seen at PNC, but I seem to recall being disappointed that there were a lot of empty seats towards the back when Jacket played there in 2011. I'm kinda surprised that they are coming back since they seem to always skip Cincy for Columbus and do well there.

I assume Louisville dates are TBA at this point. Could be wrong, but I'd be surprised if they chose to skip the 502 for almost two years.

Thanks for the heads up DaydreamNation! I was able to score a put ticket and now I'm stoked that I get to experience the show alongside my cousin. I hardly ever get to see her and we have the greatest time in the world at MMJ shows.
I know have a single ticket available that would be a great spot to see the show from. I'll sell it to a fellow Jacket lover, face value of course.
I do not want this to come off snobbish... does anyone know how many tix that they are putting into this pit? I have only been there once--back in 2011 and it was very intimate. We were way in the back at it was really sweet. I just hope it isn't too packed. The "pit" area in Indy last summer was perfect.

Regarding the venue, I've been lucky enough to see The Raconteurs and Steely Dan there. For Steely Dan we were actually the very back row and I would agree the place has an intimate feel. Neither of those shows had a pit though. I definitely regret missing that MMJ show in 2011. Great setlist

I was lucky to be at the At Dawn show at Terminal 5 so I got the At Dawn opener and Strangulation.
My wish for this show and/or Nashville would be for War Begun because I have only gotten it once and it was 5 years ago. And for Rollin Back bc I have never seen it live and it's my bf's favorite song. And Knot Comes Loose!!!

I live in Southwest Virginia, transplanted from Texas. I'm bringing 2 buddies from Virginia, and another is making the drive up from Houston! We are hitting the Cleveland show after Cincy and potentially Pittsburgh after that for Marcus King. So, we have a nice little road trip on our hands!
If there are any willing hosts in the group, we are looking for a backyard to pitch a tent in after the show in Cincy (preferably setting up before the show).

yeah, I'm surprised there are still so many seats left. one would think enough hometown fans would be making the trip to help fill that place up.
That is surprising! I'm driving to Cincinnati from Louisville and I know my coworker and his wife are too. And some others here. But it is on a Thursday night!
I have the luxury of leaving work early if I want but it may be hard for some people to get out of work in time to get up there for the show...and possibly take off the next day.
Will be a great night regardless of how many people are there...and I'm sure they'll give the same show to 1,500 people that they'd give if it was 15,000 people!!

Anyone have a pit or really good seat extra ticket?
My brother now wants to bring his wife.
How early are all y'all getting there? Also how long would you guess the Roll Call line will be by the time they start letting us in early? I'm starting to get really nervous about being able to leave work in Louisville in time to get a decent spot in the pit, what with Cincinnati rush hour and all...
this venue is pretty small. I really don't think there will be a bad spot in the pit.

There are roughly 764 tickets still available to the Cincinnati show. All in the 200 level. Not a good look for a tour opener 1.5 hours from Louisville. I understand alot of folks going to EF but man we should have easily sold this place out!

I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but last time they played this venue there were a lot of empty seats in the 200 level. I would not be surprised if they decided to skip Cincy on future tours and just play Columbus where they always get a great turnout.

At any rate, I'm getting more excited by the minute and still feel like it will be an intriguing show as the tour opener.
It sucks that this show isn't going to sell out but luckily I think these guys are at a point in their career where that won't really hurt them much

I've been to a few shows over the years that were really undersold and it had ZERO effect on the band's performance. In fact I thought they were all great shows, and a kind of "in your face" to those who didn't go and a nod to those who did. :cool:

the last shows in Columbus at the Palace Theatre had tons of empty seats. Not defending the lack of a sell out crowd - but considering the GA pit attendance it has sold well it would be completely sold out if it were a purely seated show.
PNC just looks that way b/c there isn't a lawn but it holds 4,100 compared to the venue in Charlotte that has a lawn but is still only 5,000 person venue like the Columbus venue.
They may end up making more $ off of Cincy vs. Charlotte not having to pay Gary Clark Jr. Keep in mind the 2012 Columbus sell-out required paying Band of Horses a healthy share - this year they are doing it with the districts who will receive a fraction of their take.
I think they are doing alright - it's a tricky size they are bigger than a theater but smaller than arena and only play the 6,000 plus venues with a more premiere opening act with the exception of event shows Red Rocks, NYE, etc.

I agree with Eric on this. MMJ will kill no matter how many people are there. Don't worry about who's there and who isn't just be glad you are one of the one's there and enjoy the hell out of the show everybody. Can't wait for reports back, it's been awhile since OBH3. I expect an awesome Allman Brothers cover coming your way. :beer:

Your videos have real good sound. I have to either only record soft songs (no bass or drums - Jim solo songs and such) or look for an alternate source of audio and dub it over mine. I need a better camera with better sound or a jack to connect a separate mic.
