Well, there's a thread below called "New Live album coming" that all of that discussion is centralized. Pretty awesome thread we've had going there, and without knowing really anything except that it's coming and some Beacon rumors / theories / evidence

Just looked back to last year, OBH3 ended on 2/7 and the downloads came out 3/13 so 34 days +or- That said I'm thinking around 4/8 but would surely take them "Sooner"(a song we didn't get) :drum:

Maybe that Friday 4/6? new stuff normally gets releases on Fridays, although this is technically not as official as most releases I suppose.

I thought FOR SURE on 12/31-1/1 we'd have gotten Tonite I Want 2 Celebrate With U , Its About Twilight Now and either Sooner or The Bear. People who say it was a party show and those wouldnt hsve worked get me miffed. Bermuda Highway came right after Gideon and worked beautifully in fact it was one of my favorite parts of NYE
i think we won't be seeing or hearing this live album until early fall, maybe Xmas. I think Jimbo has already set a team together to make some weird assortment of footage to go together with it, or some strange bizarre concept story, or maybe just a deluxe artistic package to go with two discs of satisfactorily carnal live Jacket.
I just wish we got something about it.
I read an interview from before Okonokos came out and they were quite candid about what it would be , a film and a live LP and that there was a bizarre opening and ending and story running throughout but not really in the forefront....but with this project, we've gotten almost nothing that moves the story further.
Wow...this could be the band's most intense hiatus ever though:
- a brilliant live LP made up of the Waterfall era shows and possibly a live DVD
- the second half of the Waterfall sessions, with quality songs and who knows what else
and this may just be in 2018 and early 2019.......
we just got:

- Columbus 2012 released finally 2 hours and 35 minutes and missing 3 songs too
- Bonnaroo 2006 full footage 3 hours and 20 minutes
- Bonnaroo 2008 soundboard (at least new to me and many other fans)
- Portland 2010 2 hours and 45 minutes
- Denver 2017 x3 2 2 1/2 hour shows and a near 3 hour NYE show
- OBH4 2018 x3 3 hour shows (audience tape)
- RR2016 x2 3 hour shows (audience tape / footage from Pat Myers)

- RR2015 full show broadcast directed by Danny Clinch (i nicknamed this: MMJ the Motion Picture) a full 3 hour on the dot show that is too epic for words it must be seen in full!!!!!!!

If the live album is truly "in the can" then I think we could get it pretty soon. But if any of these projects (live album or Waterfall II) require the guys to put some level of work into it still, then I think them coming out in 2018 could end up being a pipe dream. Seems they are all going to have other priorities in 2018.
Assuming the release comes on a Friday like most proper releases, I'd expect us to get the downloads tomorrow. I'll be hoping we get that email in the morning and can download everything in time for the road trip to Louisville for Jim's symphony show this weekend! :thumbsup:

As much as I want to agree with you, i kinda feel like they won't do a red rocks DVD because there is already pretty good footage of those shows out there. Maybe a Beacon DVD, or weren't the Iriquois 2016 shows filmed as well?

I like the way you're thinking Lonn, but I have to disagree. The more I think about it the more I think it's all Beacon.
Not only because the shows were great and they were on top of their game but the whole "no recording allowed" thing has me convinced it was because they wanted to release something official from that run.
We'll see though and I certainly won't be disappointed if your prediction plays out. :thumbsup: :beer:

Seriously either way we are going to love it but there was a magic to the RR2016 shows and we know from the Red rocks in-house screen that they were filming the shows with a pro crew, same one that did RR2012 if I'm not mistaken by the shots you can see of it on some YouTube footage.
Beacon footage would be UNREAL i just haven't seen anything concrete about filming has anyone else seen something about it being filmed too?? we all know this was recorded , but could it have been filmed?? i don't see any film crews or cameras, but i was only mildly looking. amaybe Jim was letting loose on some of dat State of the Art...tech nol o gy :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: <3 <3 maybe they filmed it with tiny, awesome cameras that captured from some ridiculous angles at the Beacon.
Last year, the OBH3 download release was coupled with the announcement of the summer tour. Is it possible that the OBH4 downloads get released in combination with an announcement of jim's solo album/tour or maybe the live album???

he's posted it 2 more times since then, so I feel like we can say with relative certainty that we'll get a Jim solo announcement tomorrow, which would hopefully coincide with the release of OBH downloads similarly to last year. Last year's OBH downloads were dropped on March 13th, so these being released April 13th would be pretty consistent with past precedent.
