unexpected. but ive been waiting foe this for a long time. very grateful hes coming to milwaukee but id have gone anywhere, really. Im assuming there will be a seperate full band tour at some point.
a bit odd that he's putting out a rock record and touring solo/acoustic. jealous of those that get to go. jim in that format is amazing.

I found that the Amex presale is INGOLD and the Live Nation one is GOODVIBES. Citi cardmembers can use the passcode 412800. Can't find the others. Anyhoo....that's a start. Happy ticketing.

i'm hesitant to go to two shows on this tour. i think we are going to see a much more consistent setlist from night to night than we are used to with Jacket. I'm just basing that off of the smattering of solo shows he did last year, although I could be remembering it incorrectly.

I guess I'm a little young so I don't have funds for this but I wish he made it a little consistent on the venues throughout the tour. No complaints but the easiest show for me to get to is Nashville.

The Schermerhorn has just updated their price range ($42 to $71). Also, it is a super cool venue. The Nashville Symphony Orchestra performs there regularly (I guess it's sort of their place). My brother and I saw John McLaughlin and Jimmy Herring there last November (only time there).

No, but Spotify hasn't given much advanced notice in the past for other shows. If I learn of one, I'll check back in. That said, Lincoln will be all GA, and I would be surprised if the show sold out quickly (or at all). Or at least regular on sale shouldn't be too challenging.

I ended up with 4th row dead center so I'm pretty happy with that. My first tickets were front row left orchestra but something went wrong with it so I had to try a few more times. $106 all in for 2 tickets.

Ended up pulling the trigger on 4 front row mezz tickets for Boston through Amex.
Hopefully the show is cool, i'm not the biggest fan of his solo acoustic stuff but am definitely going into this one with an open mind.

I haven't seen Jim Solo in about 10 years. That show was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Every bit as powerful as a full on MMJ show. Hope they have the sound dialed in and that attendees are respectful.

I just went through the spotify presale and you could choose by "best available" or location. I was able to grab 4 in the 1st row of the first balcony, off of the center aisle. I know you already purchased, but if anyone else prefers the balcony go through the spotify presale.

Beautiful,great sight and sound little venue pretty much right in the heart of Times Square. It's about half the size of the Beacon (maybe even a bit smaller) with more of a modern feel to it.
Funny little quirk when I went, you can't bring cocktails inside the seating area but if you buy a Town Hall "cup" for an extra $5 you can. I guess if you keep it as a souvenir it's cool but when I went to get a second they wouldn't let me reuse the first cup, so I ended up with two or three of those damn things. Lol Hopefully that policy has changed but somehow I doubt it.

Haha, yeah I hear ya. :grin: I believe it's on W. 43rd and just off Broadway so it's in the thick of it no doubt. Good thing was we hit up a really good Irish Pub for dinner and drinks really close by off BWay and didn't deal with too much else. Just strolled a block or so and in we went. :wink:

Anyone try for Oakland Fox? Thinking about bailing on the last 2 nights of phish in Vegas to hit the Fox, just tried Spotify presale and was shocked to see the floor is actually seated. WTF? I've seen tons of shows at the Fox and the floor has always been entirely GA. Does this mean it'll be a sit down show?

It might go a little like the show he did in Louisville at the Clifton Center last November. He'll probably adjust the set list quite a bit, but the atmosphere might be close to this.

Port Chester is seated as well. Definitely a different feeling when you're used to shows being GA at a venue and then are seated.
The little Amp in St.Augustine Fl. is like that. Sometimes the Pit is seated and others like it was for MMJ it's GA. I had only been there for GA Pit shows and then when I saw Ray with the guys it was seated. Strange but cool if you have a good seat. :beer:
dang, im working at a summer camp and missed out on good nashville seats. i dont want to get mediocre seats for nashville, but i wont be able to be on at general onsale friday either-should i just pull the trigger now?

Happy I was able to pick up those Spotify pre-sale tix for Town Hall the other day, nothing this morning.
I got 2 front row Loge tickets on the right side of center during the pre-sale. I just now got 2 more front row Loge tickets on the left side of center. Roll Call for Louisville has been updated. I sure hope more Forum folks are going to this end of the Acoustic Solo Tour homecoming show the day before Thanksgiving.
I hung in there and snagged 2 tickets, but they're up in the mezzanine.
Checked a few hours later and there were two center orchestra tickets available, dead center of row T.
Whomever grabbed those is lucky.
These pre-sales never go smooth.

The Los Angeles show is a large gothic cathedral with general admission tickets. It looks like you have to make a rush to find the best pew.

It wouldn't be the first time I played Omnichord to Jim. I drew him to me when he was backstage after a solo acoustic set at Newport Folk Fest 2010. Got him to sign my OM-84. He also recently listened to a cover of Just One Thing I sent him. He was very kind.

Surely it was done intentionally, it feels too obvious for Jim to not know the two are so similar. Maybe just a repurposing of that progression for an album track instead of a bonus track or something.
I would love a John Prine cover this tour. Maybe Pretty Good or Paradise.
Got tickets to see Jim on my birthday! 11/05/2018 in SLC! 50 bucks a pop is the priciest I've EVER seen Jacket or Jacket related tickets. We're lucky to have artists like these guys who could've been killing us with 150 dollar Red rocks tickets since 2011....they haven't. I'll give Jim however much!!!
