The NPR desktop site used to allow you to download the audio for some performances. I'm not sure if they do it for all artists, if it's only select shows or if they even still do it. I haven't gotten a chance to check for Jim's yet since my laptop is in need of an upgrade and I mainly use my phone for browsing these days.
