It's one of my top favorite songs. Although, what the heck could be the meaning of it? I think Jim has described his song writing process as mostly instrumentals first, then lyrics. So maybe it doesn't even mean anything; just words that were fluid together.
I've wondered for years.. who or what is O? And why always leave your answers by the phone?

Always the one that is real. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the intended lyric and Jim just gave it a silly phonetic title.

Pure speculation here, but Jim's last name is Olliges, and he is a Junior, so that could have something to do with it.

hilarious that you post this, the piece I'm currently writing has a line about not knowing what the hell "O Is The One" even means but it sounds amazing anyway and then I ask Jim in a caption to a photo next to the paragraph, "what the fuck does 'O is the one that is real' even mean Jim?"
Hilarious that someone starts this thread right then. The Okonokos version is soooo hot. I'm not sure if it can be touched but it's such a damn good song. Only seen it live once but it was a hot one 12/29/17. There's some extremely over the top ones from 2003-2012 and a few good ones in 2016 and 17.
