And I could not agree more. Cleveland's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame started out well enough but sometime in the early late 1990s to early 2000s they apparently lost sight of the Rock & Roll part of their mission and started inducting pretty much anyone who is popular, which by definition is pop music.
Repeat after me: Dolly Parton is a wonderful musician and human, but she is not a rocker in any way shape or form. Get MMJ or King Crimson or a whole host of other proper Rock & Roll bands on the list and we'll start taking your hall of fame seriously again (maybe).
Just call it the music hall of fame or something. I think they realized pretty early on that if they made it strictly R&R, they would go the way of the basketball HOF where everybody gets in.
