Exactly my first thought! Holy shit what a great venue to see them at.
Anyone received an email for the presale tomorrow?

Nothing in my email.
No email here yet either
Nothing here.
I haven't, have you?
Nada.
well I'm guessing there is no presale...
yeah, pretty great communication...
Right! What's going on here? Signed up and haven't received anything either. But their website now says presale at 10 am this morning,
Just got it. MMJFOXES

What do you think... we will enter it as a "Promo Code" or a new webpage layout will appear closer to release time?
Big 'ol wait room situation. Get in line while you can.
Well, that was frustrating. Got in the waiting room early and suddenly tickets popped up 15-20 minutes before the 'artist on-sale'. All of the good tickets were missing and only side obstructed or way back were in inventory. Added the best of the worst to the cart and then started to second guess myself that somehow I had gained access to a different sale and I should wait? Something has to give with this ticket situation. Bring back fan club priority tickets please..
I heard the same thing on the Fleet Foxes subreddit. No real good seats.
I'm still in line though.
Probably won't even bother with this show now. Too bad they are playing the bowl. Take me back to the 3 night run at the Wiltern.
Is there a public onsale for this show? Did it already happen? Hollywood Bowl website has no info. What a cluster
Public onsale is same time next week.
I'm going to try that sale. This was disappointing.
I'm flying in from Toronto for this, I want to make it as good as possible..
This is the first sale. I'm assuming the front sections are mostly for season ticket holders. LA folks might know more details about how that works.

Not sure about that, these are considered "lease events". Just got back from 3 nights of phish at the HW Bowl and we had terrace box all 3 nights. Can't imagine this show will even be a fraction of the demand for phish. No idea what to think though, other than they released no good seats on this presale
If anyone is looking for a single there are 3 scattered seats available in the "super seats" sections (sections G1 and H) which are the stadium style seats behind the terrace level. I just grabbed one but there are a few more. They were not available earlier.
Thx for posting. Could have upgraded a bit but I'll hold out to see if something closer pops up. Just excited to see the HB.
I'm a little confused as to where these tix will be sold today. It's not on TM or AXS. Link through the venue is only showing package deals. Anyone know?
Hollywoodbowl.com
54 minutes. Ha!
All these boxes will be available closer to show date, guarantee. we're holding out for a garden or terrace box.
Another ticket shit show. It's getting so hard for the fans that know every word to every song and have supported bands like this through the years to get tickets anymore. The system is so broken.
Waiting room number supposedly random but so was the time it even opened. Got in on the hour to see number 2290 in line. After 30 minutes of waiting of course there's nothing but nosebleeds or obstructed views left!
Plenty of good seats on StubHub though at $500-1000 each..

agree it is all f'd up. But I would strongly recommend not buying anything right now. The venue will, at best, be 1/3 full. All of the amazing pool circle, garden box, terrace box seats will absolutely become available. Don't buy into the FOMO game they try to suck people into and sell the shitty seats first. It's nonsense what they do.
I just got back from 3 nights of phish at the HW bowl, and all sorts of garden and terrace box tix became available for face in the week or so leading up to the shows, and the demand for those shows was WAY higher than this show will ever be. Don't play their game, wait it out.
Good to know! I got a decent single but would definitely upgrade.

GREAT advice Walter and you're 100% correct. It's all part of TM/LN evil monopoly. No question they hold back good tix and play on people's FOMO. It's gotten even worse with their advent of dynamic pricing which thankfully we don't see MMJ using.
I've refused to play their game for years now and have waited it out for shows I want to see, and can't even remember the last time I didn't get a good seat in the days leading up to a show. Hell, it seems the longer you wait the better seat you'll get for some shows.

Yeah Eric, I'm slowly learning this lesson ... slowly. I usually am never satisfied with my tickets for a show, so I'm always re-checking availability to see if the show is selling well and to see if there are better tickets that pop up. For last year's Ascend Amphitheater show in Nashville, I had gotten myself a seat alone about mid-way back in the crowd but still dead center. I talked a friend into buying a single seat about 4 seats down from me, so we could try to talk our "neighbors" into letting one of us slide down. Then, my cousin that lives in Nashville, let me know that he was going to go (his very first MMJ show), and we decided we would meet up before the show and talk and maybe go to the lawn area to talk and enjoy some of the show together. Well, as I was sitting in my super special secret parking spot in downtown Nashville, I kept checking on availability of tickets. Three front row tickets right behind the standing room only Pit all of a sudden became available for the original low price ticket price and not the inflated Premium Seating scam price. Two of the three seats were together pretty much dead center but a little off towards Jim's side, and the other one was off on Carl's side. I jumped on them and never regretted it. I was able to sit with and catch up with my cousin that I hadn't seen in five years. My other friend was cool with sitting by himself on Jim's side. I did have to "eat" the extra tickets I had gotten for myself and my cousin, but it was worth it (I've had to do this on many occasions in the past when I've purchased more tickets than I've actually needed).
I ended up getting tickets in section K. Better than presale, but still annoyed that nothing closer was available.
Some box seats are now available.

HEADS UP ABOUT PARKING AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL!!! IT SUCKS!!
Parking at the Bowl is very expensive, and it is stacked parking. There are shuttle busses that run from many places in the SoCal area. I will be taking the shuttle bus from Lakewood Mall.
You are allowed to drink on the bus, but for the love of (insert diety of your choice here), don't party so hard on the bus that you have to pee. THERE ARE NO BATHROOMS ON THE BUSSES THAT I'VE BEEN ON!!! And last year, going to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, there sure as heck was some lady who pre-partied too much on the bus, and as we sat in traffic [it was the longest ride (of 7 trips that I've done) to the Bowl that I can remember] she steadies herself in the aisle and pees into a ziploc bag. DON'T BE THIS PERSON!!!!!

SORRY FOR PARTYING
Glad my hotel is walking distance!
I bought 2 in 2nd row of F2, which are good seats IMO. Bowl shows are weird because some people buy series, so I decided just to lock some in and see if anything better opens up.
Also going to San Diego, hopefully with my son before he heads to NY for school. That'll be a full MMJ show!
I totally agree about parking and the buses. My suggestion... park down below at one of the smaller lots and walk up. It's fine, and all downhill on the way back after the show.
Haven't taken the buses in years, cause I'm over 50 and I need a bathroom more than I like. :)
BTW, I was at the YYY's show last summer. A great one! After 20+ years, Karen O and the band still blow me away.
Agree it's an easy walk up Highland from the Hollywood Blvd area. Stayed at Loews for the phish run, think we're at The Roosevelt for this show. Both walkable. Lots of other nice hotels within walking distance as well.
