Just got my 4 record box.....amazing!
Anyone have any problems with skipping? Mine skips during the first verse of "O"....which sucks.

twas 32.99 at earxtacy this evening. I don't know if they're hard to come by anymore but they had 4 copies...
I've had mine since it came out and have yet to sit and enjoy it from start to finish... bad me!
I enjoyed mine start to finish and there was no skipping. I would dust the record off real good and if it still skips, I would send it back. You don't want to live with that.
I got mine from Badman...they have them back in stock. Get to ordering people.

I am keeping mine shrikwrapped for now so I have no idea if there are skips. But my experience with Badman indicates that they put out a quality product.
I've had no problem with skippage. It's a damn fine album too. I think I listen to the records more than I watch the DVD.
anyone else notice the crazy pic of tommy and jim on the sleeve for the 4th record. its great tommy is totally cheesin' and jim is wearing a hat that it appears he stole from the skipper, tight white pants, a dust mask, and leather gloves. its good stuff and i couldnt find it in the cd liner notes, so it must be vinyl exclusive. also does anyone know where i can find the bonus tracks from the 4th record for download?

One of my favorite parts of getting MMJ vinyl is finding the hidden goodies. It seems like they mess with the liner notes a little in most of the albums. That picture was one of the first things I noticed when looking through the different sleeves. I'm pretty sure that particular picture is in the photo gallery on the dvd as well.
this lp boxset is by far my favorite piece of mmj music that I own. The sound is fantastic.
Can someone who has Okonokos on vinyl check the credits and see if Bob Ludwig is also the mastering engineer for the LPs? I know he did the CDs. Someone is asking on another forum. Thanks!

yeah its on swirled vinyl, they put it out about 6-12 months ago. cobra gets the whole b-side. probably still available somewhere...

I'm new here...but I've been trying to find Okonokos on Vinyl. I checked BadMan over the weekend and there it is! They said under 100 copies, so I ordered. My order number is 56 or something...I guess how many they've sold so far? I'm hoping I won't get an email saying it's out of stock...
Seems like all the other Vinyl reissues are getting more news and they're keeping this one under wraps.

Interesting, I'm a DJ, and I put "Cobra" (an edited version of it) on my mix CD a year ago that I sell at my gigs. I posted that here with a link to the mix and no one replied :(
Update: I emailed Badman and they said they were getting their final batch of Okonokos in, and that mine would be shipping out on Monday. So if you guys haven't ordered a copy, I'd do it in hopes that they still have a few left!

I just wish they would have included Picture of You, which was played during that run. I love Bermuda Hwy, but we have that on Acoustic Cisuoca and Acoustic Chorale. That's not a huge selling point to me.

Anyone with an OG pressing do a sound quality comparison by chance? I've heard rumblings of the new press being a slightly different mix. I noticed the 2016 one at least has CB (Chris Bellman) in the deadwax (good signs an album will sound great), but the new press just has generic GZ Media deadwax codes. Both appear to be mastered at Bob Ludwig's studio.

Love OKONOKOS, to me it's the GOAT live album or DVD, but the fact that it can be improved and hasn't been is a shame. If you're going to reissue it, give us more than 1 song we already could get and a few new photos for 80+ bucks...
That's just outrageous to me....
They sometimes seem to go with as little effort as possible. I won't be buying this until I find a reason to. Love my OG press and don't understand a reissue that doesn't consist of the other 15 or so songs they could use, let alone all that footage Erickson has...
