Thanks for posting... Sunday can't come soon enough

The wind blew me back, via Chicago, in the middle of the night.

After fighting our way out of the crowd for Rage Against the Machine, my friend and I ran nearly all the way across Grant Park and caught the last 7 songs of Wilco's set.  It was such a beautiful night.  Not too hot, not humid, it was perfect.  A great way to end the day.

Truly amazing end to a truly amazing day. getinthevan is right, the weather was absolutely perfect. Caught the first four Rage songs, then came in at the end of Impossible Germany. Good to see One Wing, Can't Stand It, Pot Kettle Black, It's Just That Simple--all first timers for me. Also great to see Jeff's solo set the day before.

I was maimed by rock and roll

Jeff's solo set on Friday was fantastic.  It was one of my favorite sets of the weekend.  I really hope a tape of that surfaces because I really want to hear those alternate lyrics to Heavy Metal Drummer again, specifically the part about twirling the sticks and going back to the van.

She lifted up her shirt at the Battle of The Bands
He twirled his sticks, she helped him to his van

Seems like those lyrics have become somewhat permanent - he sung it that way in each of the 4 recordings I have from this year.
"...the Bear, Heartbreakin' Man, Evelyn...I think we all know those."

Sweet!  I should know have known this as I have a couple recordings from this year...

I'm still chuckling about the fact that he sang that at the kid's stage.
