Profess your love for this glorious band.  If you don't know about these guys, do yourself a favor....CHECK THEM OUT NOW!!! and then thank the gods of music for blessing us all.  They are from Johnson City Tennessee, and I haven't been this blown away by a band since MMJ.  Check out the video that they just put up on thier my space page, check out the songs, check out the stuff you can download under the "sounds like" section.  Then if you really really love them, which you will, send me a pm and I can see to it that you get a live audio recording of them, and a t-shirt.  I'll leave it to Riny and some others that have been turned on to describe the sound, I'm really not good at doing that.  I will say they play really long songs, in concert they pretty much play without stopping through thier entire set and the songs just melt into each other.   When it's over you feel like you just forgot to breathe for the last hour.   Thier live show is one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced.  Like I said, they are thinking of breaking up which would break my heart, so if you like them send them a message and tell them how much you love them.

I'm not actually on myspace.  I just check out this band on it.  I'm afraid of myspace.  It scares me, I don't understand it.  24hr. can only be heard on myspace because they haven't really recorded anything that is available.  Actually I think they have an ep, but I don't think they even bring it to thier shows to sell.

MEG, Did you watch that video.  It is one of the most amazing things I have ever witnessed.  I just watch it over and over again and shake my head in total awe.

i don't know, mr.sweatboard! ;D  "best band since mmj"? ....if it was from anyone else, i'd tell 'em to go pull a monkey out of a rooster...but since it's you and we virtually love all the same music, i'll listen tomorrow ,if i get the chance...although, any band that say's they "write and will record 'amazing' music" to me, is a little too far up their own ass....i know a band that, right now, is recording "the best album since Z"..and they'll gladly deliver it to that there yonder johnson city youn'un kinfolk... ;)

I have no idea how to describe their sound but i'm lovin it. don't just taste it, you have to listen to the whole thing through. preferably on your headphones while taking nightly walks. it will hit you.

Well it's not casual listening but I for one absolutly LOVE the lead singers voice.  It may not be what some people would consider traditionaly GREAT but it's real, honest, sincere, emotional and I Absolutyl Love his sound.  Stephen Malkmus is the same way for me.  I think he has one of my favorite singing voices of all time but it's not what would be thought of traditionaly as an amazing singing voice but for me it is.

Yeah I put one of your songs on a mix cd I recently made for someone.  It is a fantastic record I'm really looking forward to the next one.  Where did you see that qote about "write and will record amazing music"  It's funny that you would say that they are "up thier own ass", because they are actually the most unassuming guys I've ever met.  I really think you will dig 24hr.

hey B. just noticed they have a new song up. have you heard that? are they back? not sure what to think of the new one yet, it's different, i kinda like it but need to listen a few more times...

sweatboard

yeah, I have heard it, and Yes it is very different than what they have done in the past but I still really like it, I think it's a GREAT song, just much more straight forward than what I'm used to from them.  I don't think they are really back as far as doing shows or seriously recording or anything but I'm assuming they get together from time to time to work on stuff.  Travis (lead singer/guitaritst) and Tim (Drummer) have been playing together as this other band called "Ocoai" ( that is all instrumental but also bad ass as hell.  I would definatly check them out, ( http://www.myspace.com/ocoai )I really really want to go to one of thier shows but it's not worked out for me thus far.   :'( and of course Travis is still playing shows with "Mouth Movements as thier drummer/leadsinger, I think that's his main focus these days.

Seeing 24 hr. Live is one of the best things one could ever experience so I imagine Ocoai would be pretty mindblowing as well.

P.S.
That's awesome you checked out the new song.
