Going to my first Jason Isbell show in 2 weeks.  What can I expect??

Pure professionalism from Jason and his band.
Some excellent electric guitar playing.
A good mix of old and new songs.
A nice display and lighting.
Hopefully Amanda on fiddle and backing vocals.

seen Jason 3x time (once was opening for MPP) and still haven't gotten a show w/ Amanda. She dropped the night before I saw them in Norfolk last year. I imagine she'll be full time on the tour supporting this album since she seems prominent on the songs I've heard.
Don't you ever turn it off

She's actually listed as the opener for the show I'm seeing.

I definitely enjoy the shows with her there more. She adds a lot both in her playing and singing. Plus he just looks happier when she's there next to him.

After that video I don't think I'm even wondering anymore, it seems to be a fact.

Also, good news for those of us that have yet to catch a show with Amanda: she doesn't have to have any solo dates on the books in the next few months, except for shows where she's opening for Jason and company

Wow that was awesome...  I'm seeing this show at the Beacon on Thursday.  I'd assume (hope!) that if they were going to bust out any Allman tributes again, it would be at the Beacon.

He tends to ride with roughly the same setlist for a tour, and has closed with Whipping Post both of the first two nights. I'd say it is very likely this will be a staple this tour

looks like he's down to 2 of his truckers songs a night.  i'm fine with that but i wish he'd mix in some of his older solo songs.

Yeah, folding chairs from what I understand. Was trying to imagine what that setup will be like when I was standing in the pit last Thursday and it seems weird to me but I dunno

it'll be great I'm sure bc there will be way less people in the pit, and hopefully everyone will still be standing!

I hope so! Cannot possibly be anything less than a great show regardless

Saw them last week and it was easily the best show I've been to this year.  Just a really stellar band.  Isbell was pretty talkative too and was very funny!

Cameron

I wish he had time to start a podcast. I love hearing him talk.
