What were your highs, lows & in betweens?

Hightlights: Finally getting to see the Jacket live! My sister's wedding, visiting my parents amazing house in Spain, Paris, moving house & setting up my new school & Hawaii.
Lowlights: My weight gain & inability to lose it.
Movies of The Year: Nacho Libre & Cars.
TV Show: Boston Legal & Garth Marenghi's Darkplace
Food of The Year: Pizza & Ice-Cream (same every year)
Drink of The Year: Beer & Jack & Coke (same every year)

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

BH

Fantastic!  I made about 3000 new friends.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

I hear you BH! The forum is always a highlight for me.
I had to stop myself from checking in a couple of times whilst I was in Hawaii  :-[

I had a pretty rough year... but the highlights more than made up for the bullshit. Or, at least, they've help me shut out and repress the bad stuff.

+ Those few MMJ Fans that have become my close friends. MMJ giving me and my best friend that much more to connect with. Always a good feeling to share passions.

+ Got to meet MMJ, finally. They posed with the Vikings for a few photos and autographed all of our Ryman Auditorium posters. Not to mention I saw them in concert three times.

+ I was given the privilege of being an Okonokos Listening Party Host... That honor is shared with Alan, as is our MMJ Facebook club reaching over 1,000 members in a matter of months.

+ MMJ's Okonokos and Acoustic Chorale!

+ Got a new job that is perfect for me, and continues to be a boost to my self-esteem - which is definitely needed.

+ Hit the halfway mark in my reading the Bible - more importantly, I'm "getting it" and feeling much better as a person because of that.

+ The new James Bond movie didn't totally suck. I know it sounds weird with the rest of these, but that was something that came to mind.
--- and that's 2 real 4 u.

2006 was ehh.  it was good at times. and it was bad at times. Being accepted into this new school program was better than anything i could ever hope for... it's made me think and realize and know myself better than ever.
yet
i've also been sick for about 70% of the this year.  sinus infections, the flu, headachy, whatever. i lost a lot of new friends to the "real world" out side of boston, going away to college.

but i went to many good shows.  saw MMJ for the first time :-*.  and learned a lot.

so it had it's goods and bads.
werd.

colleen

not so hot.

let's see,
lows: 1/3 life crisis of sorts (you don't want to hear about it), barely any skin on skin for collie all year, debt and way too many responsibilities

highs: seeing MMJ 5 times!!!!! Keep in mind this represented probably 50% of my recreation for the whole year, but still....each of those shows made my year. And meeting Jim James at one of them, although I'd like a do-over on that because I acted like I'd just been taisered after shaking his hand. Other highs: getting to work in Italy this past summer, realizing how dear to me some of my friends are. And joining this forum has been a treat.

in betweens: that's too personal.
Everyone has a photographic memory. Some don't have film.

SMc55

Highlights for me:
- a weekend in Glasgow with my best mate: meeting Patrick and Bo and seeing the best band in the world
- seeing Alice Cooper at Monsters of Rock
- the looks on my nephews' faces when they spotted us at the airport in Bordeaux
- going to Ireland with greggy and little greggy
- changing my name back to the original
- friends - how shit would life be without them?
- seeing my boy starting to grow into a fine young man

A very dear friend died on Christmas Day. She was so special. Losing her makes me want to appreciate what I have more.

FarmerYoda

OH! i forgot about Deval Patrick... word.

Hightlights: incredibly long-awaited trip to europe/finally meeting english side of family. getting to know you lovely people here!
Lowlights: my cat lucy dying (she was 18), and not being there to say goodbye. still single (beginning to wonder if this is going to be a permanent situation)

Food of The Year: chocolate
Drink of The Year: becks or ninth island chardonnay
