The Village - why am I the only person I know that freakin loved this movie? I think it's not so much the story, although the concept is interesting, but the carefully-paced dialogue, the acting, and the gorgeous cinematography. If I could meet Roger Deakins, I would tell him his shots are just art, man. I would totally blush. Love his work with the Coen Bros. and on here...
everything sucks. really.

hey i like this movie, too!
and i think that Bryce Dallas Howard made a very good job!

I like The Village too.
Once I got over the silly twist I was able to enjoy it. This was the movie that warmed me to Joaquin Phoenix & like Patches said, Bryce Dallas Howard was excellent.
This was also my wife & I's first date so it will always hold special meaning  :)

Here's the trailer for M. Night's next movie if anybody is interested:

"Do it! Do it!!!"

Ben Stiller: "Who are you?"

Andy: "Nobody"

Ben Stiller: "That's right. And who am I?"

Andy: "It's either Starsky or Hutch, I can never remember?"

Ben Stiller: "Was that supposed to be funny?"

Andy: "You tell me, you were in it."

During my holiday break I watched more movies than I did in a very long time. One of the movies I saw in the holiday became my favorite. The movie's called 'Cinderella Man'. Russell Crowe and Renee Zellweger are brilliant in this movie. It's definitely both of them's best movie - ever. Anyone else seen this movie and likes it?

It made me think of that, too. Ben Stiller was a good sport wasn't he? Ricky Gervais made him look a plonker. As he did with the other film stars, except Samuel L Jackson I guess. He just looked cool    8)

i just can't see horror movies. i get truly scared. i scream. i jump out of my seat. i have nightmares afterward. but i'm always interested. like, i really wanted to see Saw but knew that i couldn't sit through it so i asked my friend to tell me the whole plot. so i got the cool concept without all the gore.

My wife is the same - we watched The Others together & she followed me around the apartment afterwards not leaving my side for a second  ;D

I don't like horror movies either. If I can come along not seeing any I prefer that.

I was a little underwhelmed by the Samuel L. Jackson episode. They overplayed the racism subject on that one. But he sure looked cool. And I loved him in The Matrix  ;)

The last one with Patrick Stewart was a classic again.

Patrick Stewart allowed himself to look such a creep! The power of Ricky I suppose.
