It's a great EP, although Junior Kimbrough's originals are better (and very similar). I like Chulahoma because they amp everything up a little without losing Kimbrough's soul.

I guess I know what I'll be doing September 6.  Thanks for the post Logan, never seen them live yet
We could.

i think their new album is their best yet---the sky is the limit for them
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

Being second to My Morning Jacket is as far as they'll ever make it.  ;)

I had front row for a sold out show in Boston for these guys.  I still cannot get over how good that show was.  I've seen these guys play every venue around me.  I'd say they have made it.

Why can't they play NYC with MMJ!!!!  So jealous.

For me I think my FAVORITE would have to be Thickfreakness... but really I have loved every single thing these guys have put out.  Also if you go to www.dimeadozen.org there is a show available for download from 2008 at the Metro in Chicago off FM radio... quality is outrageous.

...I just saw them last Thursday in Brooklyn and it fucking kicked ass...not only because I really like them, but the show was amazing, they play so well together....it was so fucking loud too and that kicked ass....and they played stuff from every record and the new stuff they played was so heavy, it was really interesting to hear how they could make those songs into something completely different then they were on the album....so fucking amazing, honestly everyone do themselves a favor and go see these guys.....here are some pictures (I didn't take them)......
