Happy Mondays was Factory. I think. Right?
Some girls mothers are bigger than others girls mothers...

QuoteHappy Mondays was Factory. I think. Right?
Manchester's finest Factory Records is indeed right  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

QuoteOK here's a random list of albums, some more famous than others. What record labels were they originally released on?

You can answer one, some or all & don't forget to please throw a new question back out there if you get one right.

Red House Painters - Down Colorful Hill 4AD
Soundgarden - Louder Than Love A&M
GZA - Liquid Swords
Buddy Guy - I Left My Blues in San Francisco
Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Orange Acme
John Coltrane & Johnny Hartman - John Coltrane & Johnny Hartman
Happy Mondays - Bummed Factory
Luscious Jackson - Natural Ingredients
The White Stripes - The White Stripes
Mr Scruff - Keep It Unreal
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

What record labels were they originally released on?
Soundgarden - Louder Than Love
AM Records. I'm pretty sure it wasn't SST because they were the first "grunge" band to be released on a major label no?

Keeping with the Soundgarden theme, who was their first drummer?
A&M is right! Their debut EP was on Sup Pop & their debut album on SST (I think!)
There's no fooling you WB  ;)

There was someone before Matt Cameron? No idea...
Chris Cornell was the original drummer.
He was doing drumming/singing duties before they got Scott Sundquist, then Scott left and Matt came along.
How loud can silence get?

Gawd I hope they reunite.  I knows Matt's kinda busy right now tho'...

Combo question:

Who (famous musician obviously) gave Billy Gibbons one of his guitars, what color was it, and what was the name of Gibbons' band that played the opening spot for same musician (in Texas)?
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.
