I guess I'm massively uncool but I've been really digging the Dixie Chicks latetly.  Natalie has such a great voice.

I've been enjoying the Be Good Tanyas -- not sure if they're uncool, but also damn good.

Nice! I'm listening to "Real Love" on the Talk album. Nice tunes to blast the stereo to  ;)

Favorite Yes album?

It's been one of those days (blerrrgghhhh), but Andrew Bird is certainly making me feel better  :)  His music is very evocative of daydreams for me, and just dreams in general.  Thanks, Andrew, for making life more bearable at times like this.

Jessica Lea Mayfield - Grown Man

Actually, the studio version I can't get out of my head. And aside from a few Neko Case songs and anything involving Kim Gordon, I rarely like female singers.

But I like Ms. Mayfield a whole bunch.

And I really like how the bassist loses his shit in that video

^My first "listen" to Futurebirds, very reminiscent of Beach Boys and Mammas/Papas.  I mean that in a good way. ;)

Interesting.  I guess maybe that song could invite those comparisons.  I posted that one because it had highlighted reverb.  I would say they are more southern/country rock with 4 different vocalists who may sing lead on any given song and are multi-instrumentalists as well.

Damn, I am jealous, the furturebirds, I do not believe, have ventured to the northeast.

I am wondering if you fans of futurebirds have heard of the Moondoggies. I find them to be very similar in stytle. Moondoggies have a more classic topanga canyon southern swamp-boogie vibe. They have a new album out Tidelands that I have not heard but their 2008 release "don't be a stranger" was one of my favorites that year.

They are from the northwest as, I believe Seattle, well here's a taste:

The Moondoggies - Bogachiel Rain Blues (Live at the Mural)

The Moondoggies - Changing (Live at the Mural)

Listening to the new Radiohead. I've let it run a couple times through. Its not my favorite Radiohead but a solid album still, but I'm interested to see if there is going to be another part to this album like some think.

I agree. The album is real short as well. A second part would be ideal.
