In my opinion she has the right to respond to that and tell her side of the story.

No doubt she has the right to tell her side of the story. But Dan and Pat were giving an interview. She's a writer, and as a writer she did what writers do. But to me she came across bitter. The Keys gave a handful of sentences worth of material to Rollingstone. She wrote a novel herself about it. I think what drove her to write her side of the story were the little things. Pat saying he gave up a quarter mil and monthly checks, but it's worth it. She clearly hates Dan, but at the end of day Pat and Dan are still together like brothers. That's what's pissing her off.

Very nice. Im loving Dan's description of the album. Also good to know another solo album will be somewhere down the line.

Black keys did an awesome show in Montreal.  The only bad thing is that it lasted only an our and fifteen minutes...   8500 people attended!!

Not sure about that video, but I know what I'll be listening to on my mini MMJ roadtrip to Tulsa and Dallas.

I'm hoping for good things. Its a little harder to be excited about this than Brothers for some reason. I don't think I'll care at all if it sucks

What do you mean by this? Im actually even more excited for this one, because while I think Brothers is a great stand alone album, its not my favorite sound overall for the Keys.

I loved brothers. The keys experience is really changing for the worse. A year ago I saw them play a tiny outdoor venue called Iroquois Ampitheater. Now, they headline the biggest festivals in the nation. For certain bands, like MMJ, bigger doesn't necessarily mean worse (to an extent). The black keys are meant to be intimate and LOUD. In most cases I try not to be selfish about a bands fame, but in this case I care. The last couple shows I've seen by them haven't been good because it's not the same behind thousands of people. If the new record sucks, it could work in my advantage to see some old songs live. If it's awesome, the shows will be bigger (and worse). It's bittersweet either way

I dig it. Certainly has a different sound than the old stuff as well as Brothers, Im definitely interested to hear the rest. Is Dangermouse producing for them again? I get a Gnarls Barkley vibe from this song at times.

Love the video too  ;D
