i had never seen Kelly Hogan before, had no idea who she was...but we were all in agreement that she should join the band. she was spectacular---and yes, we did get Angels & Fuselage on either Thurs or Fri night.

Holy mackerel...... it appears the line-up of FloydFest in Virginia has been releeshed... I spy TAJ MAHAL, Xavier Rudd, and ironically enough David Grisman Quintet, Peter Rowan's Bluegrass Band, and Tony Rice "Unit" they call themselves.... but those that find themselves around the deadhead circuit may recognize these gentlemen as the Old & In the Way boys, (except Mr. Rice, who jams uncontrollably with Mr. Grisman, post Old & In the Way/Gray) Albeit they're all separated with their own groups... but I surely surely foresee some fantastic jamming potential with them all being in the fest. I also see Larry Keel, Toubab Krewe, Hot Tuna (them boys bring the bluesness), Del McCoury Band (who I can't remember what they sound like, but feel like I should know them), and randomly and least bluegrass-themed, the duo Boombox, who has been known to melt many multiple faces at many places. There are many others listed, but those are the ones I'm most excited to catch, if I catch 'em.

So, no David Gilmour, Nick Mason, or Roger Waters?  Must be the wrong FloydFest.  ;)
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.
