Phosphorescent at Brooklyn Bowl on May 11.  Simone Felice at Rockwood Music Hall on May 14.

I feel a plan coming together...

I think im gonna be going to that Phosphorescent show also.  How is Brooklyn Bowl?  I've heard very mixed opinions about it.  Also is it close enough from the subway?  Im not very experienced with Brooklyn

ALady

I've never been - maybe one of our lovely NY ladies can advise?

Hope to see you there, Murph!

there is an L train stop on Bedford and 7th, just a short walk from the brooklyn bowl.

just noticed Phosphorescent is playing in Reno in a couple weeks when I'll be there for work.  Don't really know anything about them.

Go. Thank me later.   ;) ;D

Thanks brother........I haven't seen Phosphorescent ever and I only started listening to him about 3 months ago, but I have been fully and completely hooked.  The guy makes hauntingly beautiful music, but also knows how to rock.  Start with Pride and than get his latest Here's To Taking It Easy, which is one of my favorite albums of the past few years.  You wont be dissapointed

Like the avatar, Murph.

I'm sold, I'll check it out (although that pic is a bit scary).  It's either see the show or sit in the hotel/bar.

My boo.

fredo, I'd also recommend To Willie - it's an album of Willie Nelson covers, and I think it's great - manages to pay homage and sound uniquely Phossy at the same time.

The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin, I keep sliding off to the side

This is another beach festival trying to get off the ground on Pensacola Beach.  Darkglow,  if you see this, tickets go on sale to locals next week for $80.  They'll go up pretty substantially after that.  It's not until Oct, so I haven't heard any bands they might have lined up yet.  I do know there is A LOT of money backing this.
