Seeing Justin Townes Earle this Sunday at one of my all-time favorite venues, Narrows Center of the Arts in Fall River MA.

Never seen him before...What can I expect from his show? Does he play with a band?

He has a small band with him.  He's, well, folky, so expect a nice, entertaining, but laid-back concert.  Enjoy the show.

I love seeing JTE live. his banter between songs is really funny and he always plays with a lot of enthusiasm. His covers are great aswell.
How loud can silence get?

ALady, what a schedule, I am very jealous of your whole year in music and what a way to cap it off!! (really love Jessica Lea Mayfield, feel she is really underrated)

Thanks for the info all on JTE, can't wait for the show, I'll make sure to report back!

Wilco should be announcing an Aussie tour for April so I'll be seeing Ry Ry, Wilco & MMJ in a 6 week period, but all 3 in 4 days? Wow...

I hear ya about the 6am flight though! But with MMJ and a reunion on the other side you'll be right! So wish I could go to the New York show...

I've said this a few times ALady but bravo   your schedule is always an inspiration.   Also, I notice a lot of "new" music I am just getting into is on your shows list for 6-9 months ago.   I should just watch your shows for future ideas.

My list is much shorter but I'm still pumped.   The two venues couldn't be more different.

12/12:  Band of Horses at Paradise, Boston
12/14:  band of Horses / MMJ at MSG

Damn, planned to go to a Felice Brothers show next week (with AA Bondy), but it's cancelled due to illness of the singer :(. I'm not a huge fan of their albums. I like some songs, but many songs are boring imo, but I don't know them that well, so I wanted to give them a chance. Maybe hearing the songs live would change my opinion. And I heard their live show is good and they would play in my home town so I wanted to go... Luckily I dindn't have tickets yet. Hopefully they will come back when the singer is better! Lots of fans on this board so it has to be good ;)

so i walk in the Sullivan Theater last night and all over the monitors, they're playing the MMJ show from last year!

i hadn't seen RA in about 6 or 7 years and had forgotten how incredible he is, i'm sad i choose not to get tix to the NYC show tonight, gotta save $ somewhere! he played about 10 songs, starting with Sweet Carolina, Ashes & Fire, If i am stranger..then ending on 16 Days.  i'd forgotten how perfect his voice and playing could be..he was hilarious, too...this tour has had some great banter...last night he went on for about 10 min about how they changed the theme song on Moonlighting! (for those younger kids on here, you've probably never heard of that show, but it was controversial in its day)..ha ha...
