was a huge fan of The Church!! nice....

What's with the "was", Penny?

The last Church album (Untitled #23) was one of their very best, and the last couple tours (30th anniversary acoustic tour and 3 full albums in one night tour) have been completely amazing.  Maybe it's time to hop back onboard.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

Nothing 'til March, but then it's the re-scheduled AA Bondy and Felice Brothers gig.  Also just got tickets to see WU LYF in Manchester on 15 March.  Both should be good.
The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin, I keep sliding off to the side

Very cool! Saw the a couple of times a few years ago & they were excellent. They're here in April, I should get a ticket but the new song I heard didn't do anything for me....
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Heck YEAH!  Got tix for Flaming Lips performing The Soft Bulletin at a really small venue in SF  :D :D :D  I've never seen them before!

Also got Delta Spirit tix for the Fillmore May 10th.    Now just have to find those Woody Guthrie Project tix and I'm good.

They aren't headlining the show on March 12. A band called White Rabbits is. I've never heard of them. But when I looked at their schedule, it looked like the only way I would get to see them anytime soon was if I drove to Birmingham and saw this show. I've really been getting into them a lot lately so I figured what the hell. But I hear you. It gets expensive going to shows. Truthfully, I'd love to kick Drake to the curb to cut back, but I owe my friend a show and this is what she really wants to see. He's charging outrageous prices for tickets.

They are playing a tiny contemporary art place here that holds maybe 100 people. I'm trying to figure out a way to do this.

Old 97's and Those Darlins are in the 'Ham Friday night. I want to go, but I have to attend a wedding.

If you haven't checked out Those Darlins, do so asap. They're badass.
