It'll be a tough sell finding someone to go to Shabazz with. I might have to go alone witch I do sometimes, but I don't prefer to.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

If it helps at all Truth, tell your prospective invitees that someone you know (me) who strongly dislikes/hates most/all hip hop type stuff, inadvertently saw Shabazz Palaces while manning the rail at a festival waiting for the Jacket.  Turns out, Shabazz was really super fun to watch and I would even consider listening to them occasionally afterward.  Though I haven't.  But they were good live for sure!
My jacket's gonna be cut slim and checked

I have a little shelf where I keep my concert tix...sometimes I have 5 or 6 shows waiting for me and life is good.  Unfortunately, my shelf has been bare since MMJ at Gibson in December (like a dummy, I recently let another opportunity pass to see Wilco for the first time  >:().  However, the shelf is occupied again with Edward Sharpe and Magnetic Zeros (quite the spectacle) with the supremely talented Rocco DeLucca as opener at the Rialto Theater, a small historic venue in Tuscon.  Tuscon crowds are very colorful and eclectic and overall better music fans compared to Phoenix, so that's a plus.  Gonna take my 11 yr old twins for their 1st indoor show.  We'll hit Biosphere 2 on the way down and stay the night in the "haunted" Hotel Congress.   :)

The dam has broke and things are looking good through May.  Picked up tix today for a couple of shows; Spiritualized and Brian Jonestown Massacre.  Gonna get polyphonic spree tix on fri (I've never seen them but was big Tripping Daisy fan).  Considering Drive By Truckers...havent seen them either, but worried they won't live up to the high bar that has been set for them on this site  ::).  All four of those are at Crescent Ballroom, a (relatively) new spot in Pho.  Love the acts they are bringing in!  Also, Black Joe Lewis and McDowell Mtn Music Fest.
