Yes!  Really gonna find a way to make this.  It's got enough metal for Kate.  All the venues are close by

Seriously, Roots, Built to Spill, Jesus and Mary Chain, Baroness, Thee Oh Sees, JRoddy, Strand of Oaks (for you folks), Valiant Thorr (for me) etc.!

The VIP are already sold out, that's the only ones that guarantee you access to all the big shows.  I'd be tempted but I'm worried they'll schedule all the big acts against each other - not sure of the capacity of the fest/individual venues, though I guess they put some acts on a big outdoor stage.

Going to wait and see how Fun Fun Fun Fest shapes up before I commit to anything else this fall.

I won tickets to see Deer Tick on monday! I've felt lucky since winning the DSO tickets late last year so I entered for this. What should I expect? I've read mixed reviews about their shows.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

I know that on WED there's an invite only Diamond Rugs-Deer tick show at the GA Theater--I'd give anything to be there...

I think I remember a couple mentions of them being pretty drunk and fucking around between songs and whatnot. It's free so I have nothing to lose. I only have heard Born on Flag Day so I'll have to spotify their other albums between now and then.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

Going to see The Cranberries on May 5 in Montreal.  Yes, the Cranberries.  Call it nostalgia.

Radiohead in Montreal in June as well.  Not sure if we anything else until the Ottawa Bluesfest, which is from July 4 to 15.  Conor Oberst will be there, although the rest of the lineup is mostly meh (well, the 2nd half is much better than the first half).

I've been to Hopscotch before and it is very cool.  There is an outdoor plaza that takes up about a city block where they put the big names on the bill, with about 3 acts there per night.  The plaza shows end by about 10 and then there are shows in about 6 or 7 venues in the area.

Because of all the venues going at once, there can definitely be conflicts, and some of the venues are very small and fill to capacity for certain shows.

The GA passes have either not sold out in past years or sold out only in the days leading up to the festival, so you probably have some time to waffle on this one.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

De1euze!

June 14th - Ceremony/Screaming Females/Royal Headache @ Warsaw

August 2nd - High on Fire/Torche/Kylesa @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
