Tough choice this Saturday (IF I can get a sitter):  Floating Action or White Denim?!  :cheesy:

I've seen Floating Action once so leaning towards White Denim.
Woody, you going to either of these Asheville shows?
We could.

Assuming no transportation snags (i.e., my flight still goes out as scheduled), I'll be attending Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin this weekend with some old college friends.  Here's my proposed schedule for the actual festival, not including the late-night aftershows in the clubs downtown.

Friday:
Burning Love, Mustard Pimp, Kvelertak, Torche, Dwarves, Sharon Van Etten, Napalm Death, Converge, Tomahawk, Against Me!, X.

Saturday:
Power Trip, Red Fang, Brutal Truth, Why?, Off!, Seaweed, Youth of Today, No Means No, Public Image Ltd., Refused.

Sunday:
Ume, Pallbearer, Fang Island, Liturgy, A Place to Bury Strangers, Giant Sand, Japandroids, Titus Andronicus, Black Angels, Fucked Up, Turbonegro.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

I saw White Denim at Bonnaroo and it was one of the highlights of the festival. Good luck on the sitter.

Currently experiencing a dry spell..  What else would you expect when you live in the fucking desert?!?!  So, you have to turn to your music DVD library for entertainment or this past weekend, we listened to the entire albums of Sticky Fingers, Rumors and Fleetwood Mac.  So so sweet to listen to the album from start to finish
It's too late to play it safe so let's let it all ride

I'm only really familiar with their album "D," but I freakin' love it.  I have it on vinyl and listen to it quite a bit.  I've seen a few Youtube videos of their live show and have heard really, really good things.  Been waiting to see them for quite awhile now, so yeah, I'll enjoy it!  Going to possibly try to catch Floating Action as well, if they're not playing at the same time...but they probably will be.
We could.

Got a cool local show coming up here in Providence on Nov 17th. The Low Anthem (1st show in Prov in 2 yrs!) Brown Bird and The Barr Brothers + 4 other local bands re-opening a rennovated theater in the Federal Hill area of Providence! The theater is old, first opened in the 1940s. Spent much of the 70's and 80's as a porno theater (can't believe those existed).  lots of local food trucks, artists and installations gonna be around, should be a good time.

Also:
The Sword - Nov 15th
Joe Fletcher and the Wrong Reasons / Spirit Family Reunion - Dec 1st
Lotus-Land (New England's premiere Rush Tribute band!) - Dec. 8th
MMJ - New Years
Oh, I will dine on honey dew And drink the Milk of Paradiseeeee
