Mr. White

Ben Sollee will be playing a special show at the Brown Theatre in Louisville, Kentucky on May 20, 2013 (a Monday). It is billed as "Tibetan Freedom Concert" - Featuring Ben Sollee & Friends with Nawang Khechog. Tibetan Freedom Concert featuring Ben Sollee and Friends with Nawang Khechog. Khechog, a Grammy nominee Tibetan flutist, will join Louisville's national touring cellist and recording artist Ben Sollee and friends. Proceeds benefit the Drepung Gomang Institute, Louisville's Tibetan Buddhist Center, and the local hosting committee for the Dalai Lama's visit May 19-21, 2013.

I got a ticket for $25 pretty close to the front. Toretm said she got a ticket on the front row of the balcony for $25, as well. There are plenty of seats left (including closer $40 seats and $75 pit seats). Who knows who the "friends" might turn out to be... If you are in town or can make it to Louisville in time, this should be a really cool show.

I'm seeing Mudhoney tonight in Brooklyn.
The only other time I've seen them was in 1992...it's been a long time.

Wow, there's a name I haven't heard in a while. Been since 92 since I've them as we'll, 'Pretty Fuckin Dirty' tour, Sonic Youth, Pavement and Mudhoney. Kurt Cobaim came out, wasted...wearing flannel pajamas and played 3 or 4 songs solo acoustic. Good times!

Last night I went to see MOTLEY CRUE! It was absolutely hilarious. I had never seen them and used to love them in 1984/85 when I was in grade 8. They played down the street from our house at Copps Coliseum (it's literally 6 blocks from our house) and I was offered some free box seats yesterday afternoon at work.

I know this is shows that are coming up, but I didn't have time to post about it yesterday!

I just saw where Clem Snide is playing in Birmingham on May 31st. Eef Barzelay is one of my favorite songwriters so I guess I'll be heading that way.

Nice.     I will be praying for Loud Love tonight at the Soundgarden show.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.
