Just getting back to this.  Didn't realize the question about whether this was a soundboard recording would generate such controversy.

I'm just glad somebody got it done and much thanks to them!

And, John, stop talking dirty to Penny.

Thanks for finding that and passing along!!!

So is this a soundboard recording by the band?

No.  It's an audience recording by Tom who is a big fan of DBT.  He's an excellent taper.

I'm confused:

source: DPA 4022s > SD 722
location: LOC inside soundboard cage
transfer: 722 > iMac > Sound Studio > xACT

*16bit/44.1khz fileset*
It means he set up his taping rig inside the soundboard's periphery, usually a good location for capturing live audio, but was using a couple of DPA 4022 mics on a stand running to a Sound Devices 722 Portable, High-Resolution Audio Recorder.  A soundboard recording would be coming directly from the board mix.

What Yac said.

DBT hasn't allowed tapers to plug directly into the soundboard at their shows for years.

Luckilly you're married John!!! LOL

I actually enjoyed the Old 97's set, they stuck to Alive and Wired pretty much which is a good thing too.

The DBT's are rock-solid and for those who have never seen them I can see where it would be an exhausting set but they played for over 2 1/2 hours and were really really good.
