Wolof, where did u get that from? JRoddys site last update is still from March. That said, Im glad for the good news. It sounded like a Aug/Sept date.

I love Heavy Bells and Take It as it Comes, and Midnight Cry has really grown on me. Not surprised its the closer apparently on the album.

Nice...I sort of figured it was on facebook. Weird how they wouldnt also put it on their own band's website. Im a little disappointed Strange Love isnt going to be on the album though. It wouldve had a nice Sally Bangs or Times Are Staying slower moment on the album.

Wolof, these first 2 were GO4ITs vids I was referring to, along with the best vid of Midnight Cry that Ive come across, which I think is how I found them in the first place.

Thanks for posting Scotty!  I've been lazy and hadn't looked them up.  Great taping GO4IT!!  Brings back memories from a fun night.  It was great hanging with some MMJ fans.  Even if Ruckus' wife emasculated me when she basically said I listen to "Easy Listening" Metal!!  Ha Ha!

Looking forward to the new release and hopefully another show sometime soon!
Pretty please with peanut butter pudding surprise on top??

Hey thanks for digging these up and posting.  I uploaded shortly after the show, couldn't figure out the titles to a couple songs (I think at least two were off the new album) and then my Dad got very ill and passed away so I never got back to it.

Someone help me with the song titles, please, and I'll update.

Then, can I hire you as a promoter?

Seems like the middle song in the grouping of 3 is 'Take it as it Comes'   :drum:

Great Song!

Hah, no problem. Im sorry to hear about your dad. My dad had a pretty serious emergent surgery last year, and luckily I was able to get out to Montana to see him and help him out for a couple weeks, as he has no other family out there with him.  He's not just my father, he's one of my best friends.

Coincidentally, he and my sisters are coming down to VA beach to visit me tomorrow and staying for the week. J Roddy & the Biz is playing & headlining a small fest on July 3rd in upstate VA and were all planning on going. Ive sent my lil sis a handful of J Roddy vids and she says she likes them, she's 16, and Ive never gone to a concert with her. Ive also sent my dad vids, and the only concerts I recall seeing with him were Metallica in '98 (he was our chaperone ) and Clapton in the early 00's. Im hoping the weather holds out and its a good time this wednesday!

Oh, and as far as your vids go, the 1st that I posted is Heavy Bells, the 2nd is Take It as It Comes. Nice taping!

Scotty, that should be quite special sharing the J Roddy show with your Dad and sisters.  Have a great time!

Thanks for the titles which I have added to my videos.  Still one song that I'm having trouble with title. I know I've hear this before but can't place right now.

They released a download of Heavy Bells a couple days ago:  http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/heavy-bells-by-j-roddy-walston-the-business-free-mp3-20130711

And this article in the Baltimore City Paper announces a "homecoming show" on Sept 20 at Ram's Head Live following their album release on Sept 10.  It's not on Ram's Head Live calendar or J Roddy's website yet - woo hoo!

Thanks for posting this link!! I tried to d/l Heavy Bells from the bands site, with Chrome and IE, and couldnt get it to work. Got a reply from their IT help and it was useless as well. Was able to get it of Rolling Stone though. Hell yes!

Did you go for the bundle with the extra 7"?  I was just going to get the regular vinyl until I saw the 7 was included only in the bundle, but I have no idea of what the 7 is of.

Hate to admit it but I ordered mine off amazon.com and they say the 7" is included with just the vinyl record.  I'm hoping the mp3 download is too.  Saved about $10 in shipping.

I intern for the company that does publicity for JRoddy so I got to hear Essential Tremors already.  I listened to it front to back probably 6x in a row.  It's Fucking Awesome!  Nothing radically different from the first record but definitely a good step forward I think.  I've had 2 or 3 of the songs stuck in my head all week.  Can't wait for it to come out
