the one thing that always astounds me about Jim is his ability to hold the crowd in the palm of his hand. and not just w/ the way that he sings.
his flow is just surreal; he jumps up and down to rally the boys around him and you can just feel the atmosphere begin to shift.

i've had that happen to me in my youth ((at CBGBs and pretty much every other known spot in the tri state area; NJ, NY and Pa; i don't set foot in connecticut though.
last time i was in Boston, 3 red sox fans jumped me; little did they know that i was a 5 year veteran just weeks out of the service. let's just say i made sure they will always remember me.)).. that connection. but never as an adult till i started seeing Jacket play live.
they truly are in a class all by their lonesome. 

and on a side note: they really bring it when they play NYC. probably because they are (for the most part-don't know where Carl and Bo hail from) southern boys who always dreamed about tearin up the "Big Apple". bright lights, big city.. you know.
