Debut just came out, and I can't stop listening to it. Dead Fingers is a duo, Taylor is the best guitarist playing in Birmingham, AL right now and also one of the most unique singers, and Kate's voice is heavenly. They're even better live, but here are some songs from their debut album that just came out:

Dead Fingers "Another Planet"
(video is kinda corny, sry  ::))

Dead Fingers - Please Don't Let Me Go

Some tunes on their website to stream too: http://www.deadfingers.com/fr_home.cfm (check out "Lost In Mississippi" to hear Taylor's bluesier side)

"....a wealth of influences can be spotted on "Dead Fingers," their just-released debut on Fat Possum Records. Folk and rock are givens, but there's a strong country vibe on some of the tracks, a punk feel to Taylor's pebble-edged vocals and even a hint of 1960s retro-pop."

"She'd been playing in a band backing her sister, Maria Taylor. He'd fronted several rock groups, played guitar for others and been a key contributor to Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band."
