Kishi Bashi

Anyone here a Kishi Bashi fan?  I love the guy.  Both of his albums are full of classics and his new one coming out in September sounds like it will be great too (from the songs he has played on tour).

His name is Kaoru Ishibaahi...Kishi Bashi is the name he goes by on his recordings.  He only has 2 albums: 151a & Lighght.  He also has a live string quartet album.  All 3 are great.  Which have you listened to?

Very late to the party as always but I recently discovered this guy and I am in LOVE. Sonderlust is an absolutely incredible album. I love how almost every song from about track 3/4 onwards is a total left turn. My jaw nearly hit the floor when I first heard "Ode to My Next Life", that build up! Wow! Kicking myself for not finding this guy sooner... I also really love Flame on Flame. Really mystical and epic!

I need to see this guy live! Though his latest music seems much more stripped back which is a shame. I'm really enjoying a lot of chaos in my music currently! Sonderlust has this in abundance
