Thoroughly enjoying Country Mice.  Thank you for mentioning them.  Good Tunes are always a good thing.
Can you keep it simple? Can you let the snare crack? Can you let it move without holding back?

Arbouretum - Coming Out of the Fog
Country Mice - Hour of the Wolf
Devendra Banhart - Mala
Josh Ritter - The Beast in its Tracks
Jim James - regions

Listened to Phosphorescent and didn't think it had nearly the magic Here's to Taking it Easy does. Of course, this is just based on one listen.

Anyone listen to the new Nick Cave record through and through? I only got about halfway through, been trying to revisit it.

I've been meaning to check out Chelsea Light Moving, but when Thurston played one of their songs with Sharon Van Etten @ Town hall it was absolutely awful.

So far this has been my 2013 playlist. All female led bands.

Lady Lamb The Beekeeper - Ripely Pine
The Joy Formidable - Wolf's Law
Thao & The Get Down Stay Down - We The Common
Speck Mountain - Badwater
I NEEDED IT MOST WHENEVER tbh

Come Closer

I agree with JJ, Arbouretum, Country Mice. I would add

Frightened Rabbit
Local Natives
Czarface

Ghosts_on_TV

Local Natives and Nick Cave are my two favorites so for. But I'm assuming The Nationals new one will take the top spot.
Some girls mothers are bigger than others girls mothers...

Northern Neighbour

Local Natives' latest album is very good and definitely on my top-10 so far.  Also near the top of my list:

Widowspeak
Veronica Falls
Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside

But at the very top - Torres.

Murph

Foxygen- We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic

that album really has grown on me
