Several things before you look at this tab, I'll be brief:

-I'm no special talent at the guitar. I showed this song to my teacher and he helped me with them.
-This is a very very vague attempt. I'm posting this because noone else has taken the time to tab this out. Tabs go through many versions before becoming "perfect". I'm putting this out there for you guys to go to work on.
-This is my first tab. Ever.

Tune your high e string to the 6th fret of your A string, making it F.

Tuning should now be EADGBF

Hopefully with more time and/or help, we can get a working tab for this. I have looked on youtube for videos, but unfortunately due to the mind**** that is MMJ's lightshow(thank you Marc Janowitz), it's hard to see either guitarists' flyin'-fanga's in action ::)

edit: We also worked on Remnants, I'll get to that later hehe

Hey man, thanks so much!

I don't have my guitar on me and won't for a couple days, but I do have a word about tuning the high E up to an F. These guys are fond of capos. It makes sense to tune up to that in order to nail those octave jumps and also the hammering bits at the end of the solo runs, but it'll leave everything in places that make a lot more sense to leave that high E alone and just capo it.

I can't wait to get home and play through what you've tabbed out already and thank you so much for it!

One more thing--for the "Intro to solo thing," give that a shot with some unison bends and let me know what you think. Like I said, I don't have a guitar with me and won't for the next couple of days, but it's what I've been hearing in my head when I've been listening to this song. In the case of a unison bend, your tab would look like this:

intro to solo thing
F|------------------------------------------------------------------
B|--6-------------9--------9-----6-----------9--------9--9--9b11----
G|--8b10----8/10-----8/10-----8--8b10--8/10-----8/10----------------
D|------------------------------------------------------------------
A|------------------------------------------------------------------
E|------------------------------------------------------------------

I could be totally wrong, but I feel like there's a second note being played during the bending action. I'll try this out some more when I get back to my stuff!

Thanks so much for posting!

When I get some time I'll mess around with the capo bit, and I understand where you're coming from. But, the way my teacher showed it to me, the fingerings you would have to use if you DIDNT have a capo, and left the E alone, were so crazy ridiculous we both agreed he might just be slapping the tuning up on his guitar.

Interesting though. We'll see. I'm working on Remnants too.

Hmmmm...

I get home to a guitar tomorrow, so I'll mess around and see what happens here, but I definitely understand your point about get fingerings together. Looking forward to checking out what you've tabbed out!
