John Prine is going to be on The Colbert Report tonight. It starts in a little more than an hour, but as most of you know (or should know), Comedy Central rebroadcasts this show again at 1:30 am, 9:30 am, and 6:57 pm on Friday night.

I'm going to see John Prine here in Kentucky (Beaver Dam in Ohio County - Birthplace of Bill Monroe) later tonight. I'm taking my wife for her birthday.

Here's a video I put together using video footage from MMJ superfan Tanya Kang and the Soundboard Audio from NPR. I played this video many, many times for my father as he died in the hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky last October 24th. He had told me earlier that "All The Best" was his favorite John Prine song.

John Prine performed his classic, "Paradise", twice on this night. He opened the show with it and closed it too. This was the final song of the evening of May 11, 2018 at the Beaver Dam Amphitheatre in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. He was joined on stage by his opening act, Tyler Childers.
