Greensky Bluegrass! Yes!!  They are so great live and the new album is excellent!  I think they cover some pretty interesting topics in their songs too.

First Aid Kit - Stay Gold is one of my favorites of the year too!

Let's see.. also into Beck, DBT, The Quiet Life's EP (featuring Jim), Jamestown Revival, Jack White, Sturgill, Ryan Adams, and Band of Skulls.  Also Robert Plant's new one is really good. Man, a lot of good ones out this year!

I need to get St. Paul & Broken Bones, thanks for the reminder!

Thanks ewind!   I was hoping somebody would do that!
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

After we do a year end top ten list and a "forum" top ten from the results I'm going to buy the three top finishers I don't own.   My new Christmas tradition gift to myself.

I'm guessing The War on Drugs will top the list.

My top three in no order right now would be The Districts EP, Jesse Marchant, and Water Liars.  And then probably Tweedy.

Old 97's - Most Messed Up... a great, whiskey drenched, drunk, party record

Honestly this release has given me a new respect for Marcus Mumford. I think I heard Mumford and Sons in a new light now, because I realize that MM is an actually talented songwriter.

It's just too bad he uses that talent to write the same song over and over....ooooh cheap shot.  He does seem like an awesome dude though after seeing The Lost Songs doc

How has Turn Blue by The Black Keys not been on here.  Its one of my favs and and its just really jammy and tasty for my ear holes.  great music guys.  I love you all.  I'm sleepy.
Can you keep it simple? Can you let the snare crack? Can you let it move without holding back?

You are a fucking liar my friend.

well my statement of anger directed at you was justified.  seriously a good album.  nice and dense jammy good time.  and then a pop tune to end it all.
