Somebody suggested this on facebook.  It really is a great album.  Has that country sound that hasn't been around much the last few years.
some get stoned, some get strange, sooner or later it all gets real.

Hawkeye

Love it, and the last album too!
We could.

I have his last album, not his latest and it is great.. what a nice sound and love the pedal steel!  how is the newest one?  i think it recently came out...

Cameron

Both of his records are great. I hope he comes to austin soon.

He's opening for Jason Isbell at the Ryman in Oct, but its sold out.  Hope I get to see him live soon.  I have a nicely recorded live show from Nashville last year (maybe from 3rd and Lindsley?)  Probably a radio broadcast.

got some pub from Rolling Stones' top 45 of albums' of '14 so far.

trying to get my hands on a vinyl copy of the new release.  Amoeba records has it but I am going to give me local shop a chance to get one for me before I get one somewhere else

He's playing the Troubador in LA in Sept.  LD and I have been looking for a good excuse for an LA trip, it could be this show...or J Roddy at the Troubador in Oct.

Sturgill's guitarist sure sounds good.  Is that guy still in his band?

I just noticed the bass drum head is Kentucky's state flag! Cool!

I hadn't checked Sturgill out much yet and didn't even know he was from my home state.

Here's an article.

Sturgill tonight!   So excited.   I think I may have to talk to the bartender at the start of the night and make him promise not to serve me double bourbons when I ask for them later in the night.....
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.
